So true. I know one guy that broke his leg, and he played later that season. The other guy whimped out and never played again.

It’s crazy how national media gets more info than the local media that’s at practice every day. Nobody mentioned he was on the field locally.

    Yep, it's just sad.

Mahomes would like to speak to him. The officials basically handed Mahomes another ring last year.

And they're still better than when Winston was there. They're currently leading their division. How many division titles did Winston win?

how many teams was baker mayfield on before he got his shot to start again. The thing thats helping baker get chance after chance is that he is WHITE( nevermind the different circumstances with the Bucs currently with a completely offensive coaching staff than when Jameis was last there).

Look at jacoby brissett and how he was thrown away after being ranked 8th in total qbr last year in backup duty while deshaun watson was suspended. Jacoby showed enough to get a look from an nfl team but because he is black and cant run a 4.4 he is made to be a backup. Look at how Geno Smiths career was almost destroyed.. He is luckily playing for a head coach in Pete Carroll that can see past race. A lot of white coaches in the NFL are too stuck in their ways and ignorance

This common mistake people make when discussing Jameis Winstons career is that he is a 10 YEAR VET. LOL Jameis Winston last full completed szn as a starting qb he was 26 years old. He hasnt been given a legit chance to start a full szn at all since, Maybe 2020 when prior to going down with a szn season injury he led the NFL in passing rating, TD% and Redzone rating. I believe at the time of Winstons torn acl Winston was leading the NFL in total TD's and the Saints had a 5-2 record

Jameis Winston last full season starting as a nfl qb he was 25 years old had a 5100 yard szn, with over 34 tds and the Bucs had the 2nd best scoring offense in the NFL.. yes he had the turnovers( their is no disputing that) but what is not brough up is that Jameis was playing through a torn mcl and a broken thumb on his throwing hand that doctors advised him to play through, and winston only decided to play through the injuries after the doctors told him that their was no chance of making the injury worse than what it was. Now Winston is closing in 30 years of age, and has basically been blackballed as the only reason why Winston is even still in the NFL is because he signed a 1 year 5 million dollar deal( a contract im sure the saints never expected him to sign)

Also what is never talked about enough is the offense Jameis was in his final year in Tampa Bay was called "no risk no biscuit" as named by Bruce Arians and even former cardinals qb Carson Palmer, Terry Bradshaw and NFL HOF Steve Young is on record stating that the Bucs should resign Jameis Winston. The only reason why Tom Brady and Bucs won that year was because the bucs tom brady marched in arians offense and demanded major changes be made to the offense to allow for more shorter passes and less deep outs.

Here is the proof of Tom Brady running a different offense than the one Jameis Winston was forced to run

"Last year the offense was fun as hell to watch. Mr. Entertainment, America’s Quarterback, Pro Bowler Jameis Winston, winged the rock all over the yard, mostly way downfield."

Those days are over for Bucs coach Bucco Bruce Arians.

Earlier this week, former Bucs quarterback Chris Simms swore after watching tape of the Bucs beat the Stinking Panthers, that the Bucs were running a lot of concepts normally run by the Patriots.

Simms, who spent a year with the Belicheats as an offensive assistant, believes that’s why park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring Bucs quarterback Tom Brady looked so much more comfortable than in Week 1.

Upon doing a stats dive using NextGen stats, which tracks players using equipment sensors, Seth Walder of BSPN found that Simms wasn’t seeing things.

The Bucs are no longer running routes way downfield as they did for Jameis. Now, the Bucs are running shorter routes that mimic New England, Walder documented.

In other words, Arians has changed his offense.

Last season, with Winston at quarterback, the Bucs’ average pass attempt was more than 10 yards downfield, which was the deepest in the league. Three seconds after the snap, all Tampa route runners — regardless of whether they were targeted — were, on average, 8.5 yards downfield, according to NFL Next Gen Stats.

Both of those numbers have dropped substantially in 2020. The Bucs’ average air yards is just over 7 now (20th in the league) and receivers are only 7 yards downfield 3 seconds into a play (24th). That second part is particularly important. In order to see how Arians is adapting to Brady, we ought to consider what all route runners are doing, not just the pass-catchers to whom Brady is throwing.

Upon seeing those numbers, my assumption was that Arians was cutting out vertical routes — like posts, corners and goes — which his receivers ran at the highest rate in the league last season. But that actually wasn’t the case. Tampa is running slightly more vertical routes. There are big changes elsewhere, however.

In 2019, 5% of all of Tampa Bay’s routes were deep outs, according to ESPN route classification based on Next Gen Stats player tracking data, the highest rate for any team. This season, that number has dipped all the way below 1%, the second-lowest rate in the league.

Deep outs aren’t the only route group to drop off in usage: the Bucs have lowered their rate of hook routes (comebacks and curls) from 8% to 5% and dig routes from 5% down to 3%. Those might not sound like big differences, but in total that’s a sizable shift.

So what does Walder say the Bucs’ offense looks like? New England.

Walder calculated all the routes the Bucs have run the first two weeks of the year and compared them to what New England did last year. The difference was one percent. In other words, Arians’ revamped offense appears nearly identical to what New England ran last year.

So Simms wasn’t lying when he said the Bucs offense last Sunday looked a whole lot like New England’s. That’s because, it basically was the New England offense, with New England’s quarterback, too.

I dont even like Mahomes like that, but yes his style of play is the style i prefer to see my race of people emulate. These glorified running backs masquerading as quarterbacks makes for awful/ugly football. Even the GOAT Tom Brady is disgusted with the horrible level of quarterbacking in the NFL right now. CJ Stroud is a breath of fresh air. Lets see if CJ Stroud will be allowed to play for 12-15 years in the NFL and set passing records which Jameis Winston was on track to doing before he was blackballed or as i like to call it "sat down" by the NFL.

Joe Flacco literally came off his couch and is winning games easier for the browns than all of deshaun watsons starts this year. People really tried to convince me that Amari Cooper was washed smh. I hate to see what happened to Deandre Hopkins his final years in the NFL. No star wide reciever who is a true competitor wants to play with a limited qb that cant read coverage and stretch the ball down the field.

Jameis Winston was sat down by the NFL because his arm was a threat to the NFL career passing records. He was literally the first qb in NFL History to start his career with back to back 4k passing yard seasons and has never had a season with more turnovers than touchdowns unlike previous HOF qbs Fran Tarkenton, Peyton Manning, Drew Brees, Brett Favre and Steve Young. Winston had 2x 4k passing yard szns and a 5k yard passing szn all before the age of 26.

What's even more infuriating about this situation is that it happened on a late hit, that should have never happened, that wasn't even penalized...
