Lol Panther fans are having a meltdown and coping hard this season. Honestly, good luck to em. They traded up to supposedly pick the wrong guy...having a 1 win season...don't have their pick. I couldn't do it. I'd just up and change teams at that point I think.
https://www.reddit.com/r/panthers/search/?q=stroud&restrict_sr=1&type=comment&sort=new In the reddit game thread they keep fighting about Stroud vs Bryce lol The leading excuse is that the Texans are just loaded with Talent or something lol which is funny consider I remember many of those guys thought they'd win the division and they were just missing a QB...
Eh… this day and age, if it doesn’t seem like you have your guy after 2 years, you’re going after a new guy. Teams won’t give young QB’s that much time to adapt unless they somehow luck into the perfect mentoring situation (like the Chiefs did with Mahomes). Teams also probably want to be knocking on the door or winning it all before your new guy has to get an extension or take up tons of cap space. Of course we all thought Watson was the guy after his rookie hot streak… but I fully realize that even in the most cruelest of sports worlds, history such as that can’t repeat itself.
I agree with this. NFL teams are not patient. At all. Nor should they be. I think a great QB makes the team around him look better and so with respect to those Panther fans because they are an irrelevant team to a Texan fan...I think they are coping about Bryce. Maybe he gets better and looks good next season but great QBs DGAF about their Oline or WRs or whatever the case, they make them look better. If the Oline is trash, okay, get the ball out quicker and I don't think there is no such thing as having bad WRs if your QB is good. Great QBs put up their numbers regardless because they find the open guy which Stroud did today in Noah Brown. Bad QBs make a bad group of WRs look tolerable and I'm saying this thinking we don't have a bad group of WRs just an inexperienced group. I'm still leaving room to be wrong though, that's why I said supposedly, this city has terrible luck in sports after all but...Stroud looks and feels special. I remember after the Atlanta game there were some pictures of Stroud taking seflies with rappers and the dude looked pissed. Like all he could think about was that he lost that game and he wanted to get back in the lab and improve so that he didn't lose the next game. I think he's it. Bryce might grow into a better player though. I guess we'll see. I do agree that the Panthers are not going to be patient, NFL teams never are. Look at how many teams Baker Mayfield has been on and he's not a bad QB.
Bryce just threw a pick 6. He has under 100 yards passing, no TDs and 1 INT. That board is gonna melt down.
Yep.. inexact science to the max… and happens to be the most important aspect for any given team in the richest league in the world. Pat Mahomes was the 10th overall pick. Mayfield was drafted first overall. Kyler Murray still could probably make $150 million more if he commited to baseball full time, but he’ll continue to collect his guaranteed paycheck being an oft-injured player that may or may not ever be making his team better/competitive.
Their board is in full meltdown today. Worst it's been all season. Bryce has 3 TD passes but two of them were to the Colts.
