I will be thrilled if it's hangs in that 17-18 range. We got Eason last year with 17. I suspect 13-15 are unrealistic now.
Yeah. I think everyone owes Stone an apology. Although it’s a pick swap, looking back, I consider this a straight EG for LAC 1st round pick trade. The bucks pick is 30th pick, which can often be bought by cash. EG for a high teenth FRP beats all the previous rumored FRPs we could get for him.
I hear you, but you have to evaluate the full trade. The full trade is essentially late 2022 1st (Milwaukee), PJ Tucker, and Eric Gordon for the 2023 clippers pick. It’s not terrible but it’s definitely not a great use of assets. If the EG deal ends up being a pick right outside the lotto, it will be a decent trade, but not great by any means.
How? We wouldn't have the late Milwaukee pick if we still had Tucker, correct? So isn't it Gordon and Tucker for a mid-first? I am asking, not telling.
we had the late Milwaukee pick from the Harden trade. The PJ Tucker trade essentially swapped out the 2022 Milwaukee pick for the 2023 Milwaukee pick. And the Gordon trade swapped out the 2023 Milwaukee pick for the worse of OKC or LA’s 2023 pick (top 6 protected). Yeah, it’s complicated, but pretty sure it pencils out.
shut your hating ass up! Just because you feel it wasn’t great doesnt mean it wasn’t. Its a great trade regardless what your dumb ass says lol!
Let's let it fully play out. Maybe we trade the Clippers pick up into the top 10 and take a guy who ends up being an all-star. Maybe (unlikely, but possible) we use it to trade up from, say, #4 to #2 and get Scoot Henderson. Maybe the prospect we take with the pick ends up being an important piece in a trade for a star.
if you're going to be this way then you have to add cap space to that. we lost their cap numbers and we'll be able to turn that cap space into more assets too.
All good things tonight except that GS loss. Lakers need to take care of business with a clippers and GS needs to finish the last 3 games strong.
