    "What do you lift?"

Well, that's the question, isn't it?

"What" do you lift? And how much? And when? And how? And why?

My trainer told me to do Russian Twists today so lost my balance, I tripped on my shoelace, fell in the grass, laid down for a bit, tried to get up and drive away but my ride was out of gas.

Sometime having a work out partner can help with motivation.

    The Marathon Continues.
Checked my weight today at the Doc.
    Down 25 LBs

Looking to do more weight training.
Losing the fat is part of it but need to get those muscles hard

Being a Diabetic . . . . it was cool to get off a couple of meds.
Doc says it I keep this up . . .could get off all of them

The major motivation was not to have any kind of weight loss surgeries
and to get off meds. Increase the energy and ability to get back on the court
    Get my hooping back

I am seeing the recommendation that a full boy workout
    3 times a week. (I been doing 60 minutes of cardio a night 5 times a week)
Trying to figure out how to do that while maintaining the cardio
Maybe split during the day . . . .Weights in the afternoon and cardio later at night

Looking to try the break out of
Pull. - Push - Shoulder - Hip Dominant - Knee Dominant and Core Exercises

I have been having some sleep issues, so it's been a bit hit-and-miss, but I have been riding the bike regularly for the last 2 weeks and doing some arm stuff with a dumbbell I ordered.

Very interested to watch the videos because I will be going back to the gym when school is out in 3 weeks.

Glad to hear you are seeing some results and continuing to go at it.

I found this supposed workout and diet plan of Chris Paul's at a site called FitnessReaper. A lot of it's probably just cobbled together from various sources. Most of it probably won't be helpful, but it might give you some ideas.

    The motivation was NO SURGERY
My Doc had been pushing the LapBand for like 3 yrs

So I have to keep it up. I want to lose AT LEAST 50 more Lbs.
    I will feel human then.

The amount of exercises seems ok. The amount of time to do them. Some I have to look up to see what they are.

I didn't think his routine was for any of us. I just thought that the site was interesting and that some of the exercises are probably worth giving a shot, at least at some point.

TBH, what guys like CP3, Tom Brady, and LeBron do to compete at their age interests me quite a bit. I think the secret is core strength (just one of many things I lack), but don't quote me on that.

I found a program online at athleanX the other day but decided to purchase a book instead. It's called The Strength Training Anatomy Workout III. I'm hoping that between it and some YouTube that I might be able to progress on my own for a couple more months, then I'll pay for a program and/or hire a trainer. I'll let you know what I think of the book in a couple weeks. There could be free programs online, too, in addition to what you mentioned, I haven't looked that hard though.

Someone smart or just starting out would probably be wise to find a good trainer or physical therapist to get them on the right track...
