Forget about Bell. Nationals have been crazy in their trading asking prices.

    I want 3 more things...

    1. Get Bell
    2. Get an elite reliever
    3. Move Odorizzi for prospects to replace some of what we lose in these trades

MLB reporters are at MLB stadiums. Also, it usually takes more time to get stuff done for multiple prospects than 1 MLB player.

I still think there are two more pieces missing. Cant assume Houston is better.

yeah folks can assume Houston is better. why wouldn't they.

It makes more sense than assuming the yankees are better when they have yet to even prove that

    I get it.

Nothing is promised but the Yankees traded for players that Houston struggles with. I would like to see an additional move especially with Brantley most likely not going to be ready.

Is Brantley done for the season? Does Mancini play Left Field?
That might mean we are still looking for an everyday CF with Urquidy or Odo.

That the Vazquez deal is tied up in medical reviews makes me wonder if Whitley is part of the package.

whatever moves the yankees did, it would be spun into thats what they need to beat the stros because that's who theyve been chasing for years. we've seen what happens when they try to make moves like gallo and then it just doesn't work.

The stros addressed 2 weaknesses on their roster and are already one of the best teams in baseball. Regardless if they continue to make moves or not which is possible they do obviously, the astros are setup very well for the postseason run

I've been thinking the ultimate irony with Whitley is if it will take being traded for him to ultimately wake up and fulfill his potential. I think that's quite possible.

Like, if we don't trade him, he won't. If we do trade him, he will. Kinda sucks for us, but not if we flip him into something useful.

I was exited for the Vasquez deal, then I clicked on twitter link and saw who Vasquez was... That suck ass catcher in Boston from years ago. Back to being dissapointed...

Go look at his offensive numbers this year and compare them to Maldonado, Castro, and Lee...

Definitely not saying you're wrong. Because you're probably right. But they announced the full details of a 3-team trade faster than this newer one.

    It's just frustrating.

What other deals can we realistically make? Andrew Chafin seems like the most likely one left.

Bell is probably out. If we were going to nab Mullins it probably would’ve been part of the Trey trade. Maybe we pick up a vet CF as insurance? Will be interesting to see what happens across the league…lots of time and options left.
