True... correct call would have been both... not a single guy out of the other 39 should have been exposed?

Glad he’s staying in NL. That’s a scary lineup when tatis is healthy.

Im not sure you understand in that scenario that contract is smaller than Yuli's per year...

Josh Bell is in the starting lineup for the Nationals vs the Dodgers in LA.

But we are giving up a lot

Hosmer needs to be attached to a valued Prospect

My bad. I was looking at yesterday's lineup. Maybe it is true.

    What?

So you want the Padres to pay half and attach a prospect for nothing?

Hosmer is a 6 or 7 million player easily.

Neris for Hosmer and a pile of cash isn't "a lot". Just my opinion...

Hosmer would be the 19th highest paid 1B in that scenario... players making more..

    Jesus Aguilar
    Yuli Gurriel
    Carlos Santana
    Miguel Sano
    CJ Cron

Seems like he's in line with them...

They don't have to move him as they have a dh need too...

So is Ohtani the 2nd pitcher in the rotation or 3rd after Framber?
    Verlander
    Framber
    Ohtani
    Lance

I'd be good with the addition of Ohtani.

Ohtani would be like trading for both Castillo and Happ. The price would be very, very high; something like Garcia, Brown, Leon, Barber, and Siri. But I would probably make that trade if I were Houston.

Per his Savant page, he is well above average in nearly all meaningful categories. A late bloomer (28-year old breakout season) but still has control after this year. Not opposed, despite being a division rival we have trade history with Anaheim (Maybin, Maldonado, Stassi). Though he's played mostly RF he is probably serviceable in CF and can definitely play LF.
Useless trivia fact: Ward and Aaron Judge were teammates at Fresno State for one year.
