Roughly 40% of assistant coaches are minorities.

All that being said I’m not opposed to any minority hire. That isn’t the same thing as hiring minorities for the sake of hiring. Hire the best candidates, give everyone an equal opportunity and let the cream rise to the top.

From my perspective, once you’re in the club you stay. That goes for all.
It’s easier to get in the club if you’re white, which isn’t right.
But I’m not sure that’s as much racism as much as tribalism and familiarity.

That also goes for players. There’s an unconscious bias that black athletes are better than others at certain positions. It’s not true but that’s what is believed.

Would love to see Flores post private text messages from Cal, Easterby, and Caserio for the lulz.

 

And Flores is actually Honduran

The chance of Cal McNair wanting to hire a coach that doesn't kiss the owners ass, isn't overtly religious AND is a pariah of the other owners is about as likely as Cal McNair understanding quantum physics.

Cal McNair is the POSTER CHILD for entitled, and wanting to fit in with a small cadre of very wealthy white people that throw "balls" and parties where Uncle Ben's looking black people wait on them and fetch their coats and hats.

 

Flores was fired because he didn't break the rules and do what the owner of the Dolphins wanted him to do....... at least if you believe what he is alleging in court filings.

I don't know Mr. Flores, but I do know he is apparently brave or crazy enough to ruin his entire career because he feels the NFL is not fair to minority candidates.

 

Imagine hiring McCown just 2 prove a point about Flores allegations and b totally clueless about it.


A coach with literally no NFL coaching experience gets hired over Flores. But hey we are the dumbass franchise that promoted BoB to gm and hired culley.

When a man is literally committing career suicide for a serious allegation as match fixing, i would incline to believe that dude than billionaires.

 

Seems like Flores could get just about any college gig he wants.* No matter what happens, his career is far from over.
