Yea he clearly didn't want this job (and I can't blame him) I am taking him off the list. Hire O'Connell or Gannon and move on. the lawsuit is reasonable and the league in general is full of **** but Flores just let it be known he's not interested in coaching again basically.
So he is suing them saying that the interview was to do nothing besides satisfy the Rooney rule and that the Giants had made their decision 3 days ago before giving any minority head coach a shot? If so he does have a case.
Yup…and he very much does have a case. I am just surprised he didn’t let this cycle complete before filing the suit. And he has probably burned that Patriot bridge.
Think Flores just took his name out of the running lmao. He's burning all the NFL bridges here. Maybe he would rather get a big payday and retire than have to settle for the Texans job. That's how terrible this job really is. NO ONE wants to work for McNair.
LOL damn: After the end of the 2019 season, Mr. Ross began to pressure Mr. Flores to recruit a prominent quarterback in violation of League tampering rules. Mr. Flores repeatedly refused to comply with these improper directives. Undeterred, in the winter of 2020, Mr. Ross invited Mr. Flores onto a yacht for lunch. Shortly after he arrived, Mr. Ross told Mr. Flores that the prominent quarterback was “conveniently” arriving at the marina. Obviously, Mr. Ross had attempted to “set up” a purportedly impromptu meeting between Mr. Flores and the prominent quarterback. Mr. Flores refused the meeting and left the yacht immediately. After the incident, Mr. Flores was treated with disdain and held out as someone who was noncompliant and difficult to work with.
Or it's all just a sham to make sure the Texans don't name him as HC and set his career back by 10 years. I'm kidding. Sort of.
Flores exposing NFL owners. Too bad Cal McNair is escaping this again. We really need someone to come out and rat on all the dirt that McNair has on him.
I think he knows he's not getting a job. His texts with Bellicheck DO confirm that he wanted the Giants job though.
Owners are dirty scumbags, probably racists too who ignore the Rooney rule completely. This gives credence to the theory that Culley was a token hire and was set up to fail. Cal would rather pay $20M to Culley to do nothing rather than seriously consider a minority HC.
If the unnamed QB is Watson, the Texans should own their first round picks for the next 5 seasons. It's only fair.
So if the “prominent quarterback” is in fact Watson do the Texans have some sort of legal recourse against Watson and/ or the Dolphins?
