Remember, unless it's McCown, the Texans don't get to pick from their choice of HC candidates. The Texans are a really bad organization that most people should probably avoid unless they have no options. It's possible that even if Cal prefers KOC or Flores that neither of them are interested.
Not aimed directly at you but think this is a cop out if McCown is the hire. The Texans have now interviewed him 3 times going back to last year and he is right in the thick of things if not the perceived leader from all the reports. Plus think we’d hear if someone was turning down the job, especially if it was more than one.
I still don't think McCown is qualified to step in as an OC either. It only "sounds" good because he's a HC candidate. Being able to hire two of your HC finalists to be on your sounds good until you realize one has never coached and never should have been a candidate to begin with.
