Unless Lovie can learn some new tricks, he's far from being the coach you want when you're team is ready to compete. He's as ingrained to his failed philosophy as can be and I don't see him changing anytime soon. Then again, I don't trust the Texans in finding a coach that's a winner, innovative, or exciting. It'll be the same sht again for the next 5 years.

And they need to stop looking at boosted quarterback coaches that's only known for working with super talented QB. Stop with this "quarterback whisperer/guru" crap, it's a scam and has always been a scam.

Honest question: What culture are they aiming for exactly? Not calling you out in particular because it is talked about a lot. But I just don't understand why we hear this more with the Texans than any other franchise.

There's no culture change with Lovie. Texans have a treadmill and, most recently, losing culture. Lovie exemplifies anything but a winner; he's average, safe, and don't lose but don't win type of coach. Fits in line with the current ownership and Texans.

He can talk all he wants, say the right things, hype up the fans...but his actions and record shows his true ability, or lack thereof on the sideline.

Good question. It goes back to Watson’s comments after the 4 - 12 season about needing discipline and structure. Also moving away from the pettiness of O’Brien and his constant drama in the front office with Smith and Gaine. I am assuming Lovie brings that to the table…at least I hope so.

Not to bring that whole mess up but think he was mainly talking about Easterby. In any case, we have an entirely new roster, a new GM and on our 2nd HC. All the so call “malcontents” are long gone.

At some point, you have to get the best personnel to help you win games. Culture will follow IMO.

The sad thing about this is, Texans are never gonna improve into being superbowl contenders. This division is so piss weak, that little improvements can catapult the Texans out of rebuilding/tanking too early.

We are just gonna keep wasting seasons until we find another franchise QB. i fully expect us to b in a carousel of HC soon.
