its like we ask harden but why dont you use the midrange..its stupid...? and he answers : but who got me this lethal midrange? was it you or me?
Legit question. Gms job is to get talent. How can you both say we have talent and gm is not doing his job.
I think the perfect role for kpj is the role of ginobelli. Come off the bench, score and create then close the game with starters as a 3.
Cant believe some people liked this post lmao. Yeah man fire Stone! He only got Tate, Sengun, MPJ, Green, JC and all these great young guys but **** him for not doing his job
There is probably much thst goes on behind the scenes. Its easy to say trade X, Y and Z when you are sitting behind a computer monitor. In reality being GM you have to deal with relationships with a lot of people including your boss, marketing and sales, coaches, agents etc. Most likely there are conversations behind the scenes that happened between EG, Wood, ownership and FO that resulted in them still staying with the team.
You don't understand basic logic. The 2 things are not mutually exclusive. He drafted a lot of talent, he also traded for Oladipo (then offered him an extension), has 40m in cap space sat on the bench, crapped out in both trade deadlines he's been a part of, let Olynyk go and signed Theis, kept Danuel House on the team for a long time post-bubble before waiving him and has got very little return for any of the veterans we've had on the roster. Do you understand yet how we can have talent and Stone still be a bad GM, or do I need to break it down further to actual grade school level?
I guess he meant All-Star games. He never got much playing time either. My fondest memory was a defensive one, him guarding Giannis in the post.
He also has 40m of cap space sat on the bench, didn't manage to make a single good trade by either of his 2 trade deadlines, traded for Oladipo then offered him an extension, let Olynyk go and signed Theis, let House stink up the joint for months and didn't even get anything in return for him, no return for Augustin, hired Silas, didn't keep Allen, doesn't say anything of worth in any interview and puts out bullshit rumors about getting great offers that don't come to fruition because he's full of ****. But sure, delude yourself that he's a good GM because he had one good night in his career so far.
There’s multiple layers to being a good GM. Seems like player evaluation is a positive while trade value and moves is not. Imo
You think his player evaluation is a positive? The dude thought Oladipo was good enough to extend and let Olynyk go to sign Theis. You're reaching hard with this one.
