Just watched the Sixers game from a few days ago. For the sake of James Harden’s title aspirations, I hope to dear god 1) Daryl Morey doesn’t offer him the max. 2) Maxey can become a true superstar and a #2 guy. He has no bounce. No lift. Nothing. No mid range game (If CP3 can master that at age 36, you can do it too, James.). No floater game. Can’t do stepbsck 3s anymore. Can’t dribble the same way anymore. Can’t finish. Can’t even move laterally side to side. Can’t guard Kevin Love. He has no bag. I can’t believe I used to think he had a bag. The only reason he still has a career is because of his elite playmaking and IQ. I still don’t know why this dumb mother****er left Brooklyn when it was the perfect situation for him since he can’t score anymore. He only had to initiate things for Kevin and Kyrie. That’s it. Now he better hope Maxey can make that big 3rd year leap to become a 25ppg scorer because he sure as hell won’t ever average that again. no one should offer him anything more than 25 mil/year. Daryl, please don’t offer him the max. Even if you underhand agreed to it when he took a pay cut this year, renege. I actually want to see this guy win.

KD only has to stay healthy and Kyrie only has to commit to playing basketball and not worrying about burning sage or the earth being flat or being an anti-vaxxer or not taking random days off just because. That's it. Harden goes from that mess of a roster and an inexperienced head coach / front office to a head coach with championship experience, a front office that he's cool with, an MVP candidate who's been pretty healthy, a young rising star and some depth now. And still, all he has to do is initiate for Joel and Tyrese. Does Harden have to do more than he did, when he was in BKN. Yeah. But it's far more fun to play basketball with Philadelphia than it is with BKN. Also...bruh. It's the preseason. Embiid had 12/6 while Harden had 9/5 in the amount of time. Shouldn't make any assumptions off preseason games.
