Our Honorary Landry’s Employee of the Week: SALVY! Hates the rockets when they are in the playoffs every year LOVES the rockets when they are the worst team in the league for back to back seasons Make sure you pick up your complimentary gift card when you clockout. You earned it buddy!
I'm a real Rockets fan, support my team when they are good or when they are rebuilding.... I support my team over butthurt quitters too.... You got a Celtics avatar bruh.... You ain't a Rockets fan..
exactly. the two times GS lost in the finals were precisely due to them being "completely devastated by injuries". Ironically, 2016 and 2019, (73win; cousins) were the years when GS was considered the most lopsided clear favorites. Both times, they actually lost, largely due to injuries. That's why the games are played.
Calm down bro. You already made your daddy cheapman proud Every real rockets fan is pulling for the celtics! We support the underdog not the cowards who begged kd to save them after choking vs lebron
Yeah, not seeing the underdog thing..... Jaylen Brown, Tatum and Theis? Looks like GSW are outmatched this series...
who was injured in 2016 for them? pretty sure i remember curry klay green iggy playing all the games minus the one green was suspended for, no?
Yes. Bogut was their only interior defense besides Green. Once he's gone, it's a free path to the inside, esp when Green was suspended at the same time for that game 5. They had to play Ezeli instead, who got switched to LBJ late game and fouled him on a 3pt attempt in game 7. The little things matter. There's a sentiment Curry was not right after coming back from the wet fall too. That falls under the "banged up" argument.
True or not it’s a can’t lose comment. This is an example of the type of comment you make when speaking of your opponent. Example of what not to say? See Bruce Brown.
Celtics offense too inconsistent, so I voted Warriors in 6. Would love to see Boston pull it off though.
The Warriors are usually good at avoiding bulletin board material. They want to smile and tell you how much they respect you and then cut your heart out. The don't believe in providing free motivation to their opponents.
Game 1 Marc Davis John Goble James Williams Personally expecting the celtics to win 1 of the first 2 games.
I hate the Bogut argument as it relates to them playing the Cavs. When they beat Cle they permanently parked Bogut and the series flipped. Their best against LeBron without him, with their death lineup.
Begged? Really? It seems to me that KD's the one who joined GSW just to get the trophy. Please remember that GSW core were already champions even before KD arrived. When KD knows he'll never be the Alpha among the Alphas in GSW (GSW got no ultimate leader, they got a leadership committee), he left for Nets. Please don't distort the truth.
warriors blew a 3-1 lead in the 2016 finals against lebron, kyrie and love. If the warriors ran it back in 2017 WITHOUT KD, they would have never won another. The cavs had them figured out
I guess you forgot the part where Draymond was the one who called Bob Meyers and asked him what do they have to do to get KD, after GS loss to Cleveland in Game 7. GS also sent Jerry West to talk to KD, and all of GS's core met with KD. It certainly wasn't a one way street
Bogut had a season ending injury in Game 5. Looney was also injured. I guess the turning point was when Green was suspended. The momentum shifted. Bogut's injury also complicated things as he's one of their primary screener. Screeners are very important to GSW as their best players (Splash bros) aren't exactly the most athletically gifted players and weren't that much of a threat one-on-one. It will be aggravated this time with Boston as they've got all the physical tools to keep those 2 (or 3) checked. Smart is a lot better defender than Cav's guards comparatively. Then there's Brown, Tatum, Horford and the Williamses, they are all physically gifted to defend better. This will be a very unpredictable and interesting finals.
