Boston literally gave up an 11-0 run to the Heat in the final minutes of game 7. They looked extremely inexperienced during that stretch.
Because that has everything to do with boston and GS. who tf cares. and lets all act like GS doesn't give up big runs or big games. classic typical cf post
Finals experience according to Barkley, Curry and many others is different and can be a big impact. Not saying itll definitely doom the Celtics, only that it COULD be a factor. I worry more about Tatum playing great and Smart, Horford, Williams, White hitting their threes. For the Warriors, I expect the Celtics switching will force them into more iso/pnr like the rockets did in 18-19 and grizzlies did in 21 & 22.
GS core had 0 finals experience prior to beating Clev. You need to make it there to get it. There's no rule you have to get there 1st once, lose, then win it after. You make it there eventually without making it before and win it
You wanted to talk about Boston's playoff experience, right? So talk about it. They literally gave up an 11-0 run to the Heat who almost stole the game. GSW is 100% irrelevant when it comes to Boston's playoff experience.
Did I reply to you in that post about experience? Nah I didn't. Looks like i was talking to someone else. so nah lets not, especially with an irrelevant post like that
Huh? Where did I say it was certainty? Like many other things it COULD be a factor when differentiating between two very well matched teams.
Though I agree with you that he's not the greatest player, I disagree with you that he can just win with a dream team. That dream team core is solely composed of GSW drafted players (most of which aren't in the top 10 draft). There are a few which are thrown-aways from their previous teams. Curry wins because of the system he's playing and the players being a part of that system. Without Curry, that system wouldn't be established nor prosper. It's the same that without Klay and Green, that would also be true. GSW salary shouldn't be an issue as teams were also "allowed" to do that. It's just that GSW owners thinks more of their fans than money. Really, I'm in awe at how their owners ability to disregard money.
interesting to note, head coaches making their first finals appearance have ended very nicely lately steve kerr (2015) ty lue (2016) nick nurse (2019) frank vogel (2020) mike budenholzer (2021)
This. In addition Boston has been a historically great defense in 2022. And as I noted in my previous post, Memphis long, athletic, switchable defense also gave the Warriors a ton of problems the past two years. Boston is like that but even better. This type of defense negates a lot of the off ball confusion that leads to a ton of paint points and open shooters which non versatile defenses like Denver and the Mavs (which had a very good defense this year) surrendered. For the Warriors offense to overcome that, they'll either need a great individual performance from Curry (or Klay & Poole) or extremely low turnovers (which is their main weakness).
