Rockets will not trade. Kpj. Martin or Christopher. These are all close friends of Green…. Can’t see them splitting it up so fast.
I really don’t see a viable trade partner to move up. Charlotte was really the only one I thought we had a chance with since they want a big. Unless we see somebody we really want at 15 I can’t see giving up much to move up two spots. We just don’t have anything the re-building teams want and nothing the contenders want. Maybe we could trade for a vet, but I don’t think we will be moving up this year.
Tate has value, so I would trade the 26th pick and Tate for Washington 10th pick. Washington really need a point guard and they really want Ivey. I would pick Williams from Duke.
If they can't move up then TyTy becomes an option. Tate and 17( TyTy) works. We can select Mark Williams and hope that Terry will be available at 26. He might go a bit higher. Another option is to trade the 26th for a future first round pick. I think Tate's value isn't very high.
Agreed. In a vacuum it’s unlikely there’s a new tier of player at 15. But at 10 or 11, I think it’s worth it. If we stay at 17 we’ve got a good shot at Eason or Jalen Williams (Santa Clara) who are both good prospects. I do think we want to aggressively try to move up into the late lotto though, for a chance at Griffen, Sochan, Mark Williams or Duren; Maybe Eason too.
If they could get to say #10 and draft a guy like Daniels/Duren I would be all for trading Tate to move up.
I have been looking at several mock drafts... and I get more and more puzzled with nbadraft.net. Right now their top 6 are: 1. Jabari Smith 2. Paolo Banchero 3. Keegan Murray 4. Jaden Ivey 5. Benedict Mathurin 6. Chet Holmgren Chet at 6? Did I miss something? I would be happy with Murray, but I much prefer Smith,Paolo, or Chet (in that order).
Stone won't do it and I definitely wouldn't want him to, but if he wanted to just load up on assets, he could deal No. 3 for No. 4 and then turn around and deal that pick to another team desperate for Ivey. That feels like a Presti or Morey move, maybe. But they'd be crazy to not just take one of the bigs.
Oh, I think it could play out grandly. However, that’s based on not being in love with one of The Big 3.
I do hate his voice and the way he talks. Can’t decide who I hate worse, him or Green. Both seem super smart basketball IQ wise, just can’t stand the way they talk.
I would help one of those teams move up to #4 with either the 17th, 26th or both picks. They all got some young players I wouldn't mind trading for: Washington: Hachimura Indiana: Turner Detroit: Bey New York: Reddish
