Jabari's shooting has been personally a bit disappointing:

I'm a bit worried that his release is not the fastest, and he's rushing it a bit as defenders are longer and quicker than what he was seen in college.
The misses also don't look the best. You'd expect a lot of rim outs, but you see a few bricks and a few short.

But he's also missing open shots and free throws.

Not really much to deduce here. Very few games, could be nerves.
But I was hoping for a bit more from him in his offensive end (conversely, I was expecting nothing on defense, and was thoroughly impressed)

 

Has has hit the most threes for a player 6-10 and up in college for the last 20 years or so - and it‘s not like he only hit open corner threes, he has made a ton off the dribble and also a lot with a defender right in his face. And people keep complimenting him on his picture perfect shooting form and keep stating, that every shooting motion of his looks exactly the same. Oh, and he shot 43% from 3.

If there is something wrong with his shot, it‘s new. But right now, I would say it has more to do with nerves and the transition to being a pro. He wasn‘t lights out when he first came to Auburn as well. I am pretty sure his shot will be fine. He might be inconsistent - but he is also a rookie, that only just turned 19.

 

I wouldn't worry about it until he's shooting like sub 35% 20 games into his first season. Too small a sample size.

 

Not worried at all about his 3pt shooting. I agree he does probably need to make some adjustments to his shot but nothing drastic.

You are worried due to SUMMER LEAGUE games? He is 6'10 with a high release point and shot 40% off close to 200 threes where most were contested. You can count on 1 hand the number of people who can contest his shot without luck.
