Yes, I can see Jabari clamping down on the opponent’s best players. I really think he is a better player than Mobley…..Watch the Cavalier’s game and their point guards really helped Mobley with easy alley hoops and lay ups. I’m glad we have Green and Smith for our foundation.

Great game, basically a birthday fresh 19-year-old with great two-way potential to develop over the years. It'll be fun to watch

The Rockets parked Smith in the middle and he basically shut down every player that he was switched on to, and his size and wing span also meant he was shutting down passes to the post and was readily available for doubles.

Evan Mobley is way longer and more athletic, he will always be a better rim protector than Smith. But Smith is going to be more versatile and would be able to switch better.

I saw him in Vegas. Didn't seem way longer than Jabari to me. I had to double-check to make sure he was taller than me, even ;). Probably true about the strengths though - Mobley better as a rim protector, Bari better defender anywhere on the court.

Bari & Tari could be what we had hoped Battier & Artest would have been.

Man I was hyped on Battier and Artest man... loved that 2008-2009 team. Hate Mutombo and then Yao went down. Only team that year to take the Lakers to a game 7 too.

if battier was 6’10 and in the nba today he’d be really really good .

he had 38 career 3 point percentage with many years around 40. Would be jacking up like 8+ threes a game now.

His defense is more impressive than advertised. He’s got a great frame for muscle, he’s going to be an absolute beast.

Well at least we can say he's gotten better every game. Even if he doesn't score up to expectations his defense will keep his name out of the bust category.

I’m curious about who our finishing lineup will be. I could see KPJ, Jalen, Tate, Bari, and Tari closing in some matchups. I hope usman works out because we would have incredible defensive versatility

JJ hit the nail on the head at the end with his commentary...

Didn't even realize he had that kind of game...

Vecenie one of my favorite national social media nba type guys. Granted I think he had Bari first on his board so maybe he has a vested interest.

but it was the right observation.

still feels like he had an “ok” game and he wa so impactful to winning.

Also, Smith offense is elite, he can post up, his range and shoot 3s. He just need to work his handles.

Bari may not be through growing.
