I have no idea why you are so hateful. It's ridiculous to call me a "Sengun Only Fan" - these types of labels are just used to project hate against players or fans of our team. I have been here since before Sengun was even born.

I stand by my opinion that Jabari isn't as great a defender (yet) as he was advertised to be. I am very hopeful that he will become really good, but - leaving Alpi out of it - so far, I have seen better defense from Tari and Garuba than I have from Jabari. He is more often out of place than they are, and he hustles less.

I remember him saying in summer league he wants to become a first team all defense player in the NBA or something like that, I was quite excited about that. I really hope he gets there.

The good news is that he is still really young (as is Alpi, by the way, they are less than a year apart). I definitely consider him part of the core - far from being ready to give up on him.

I agree his 3pt shooting been disappointing and I said earlier a few times in this thread - he continues to be placed (or) places himself in the position to take wing 3s vs corner 3.. if he’s going to suck at wing 3s and that’s all he takes then his % will be ****.

EG being moved will help him alot and he’s the best post passer we have so him in the corner with Sengun might open more corner 3s ….

they still haven’t did the mid PnP with Jalen or EG

If you feel the need to bring up Alpi in comparison to any other Rocket in every non Alpi thread… then you might be a SOF

If you feel the need to bring up Alpi who didn’t even play after the Rockets win a game .. you might be a SOF

I’m a Rockets fan, I want all our players to do well be it Alpi , JG , Bari or KPJ … they all have faults and I accept that and hope they improve them.

That’s the diff between a SOF and Rocket fan

Jabari, Tari, and Garuba are all really good one on one defenders. They all show effort all game long. They are not good at team defense which requires coaching and experience. Jabari and Tari more than anything were drafted for their length and defensive chops. I am confident if we get the right coaching in here they will all be great defensive players. Sengun is already improving and starting to get less crazy calls against him. I don’t think he has the physical attributes to be a great defensive player, but his effort and IQ will make him more than adequate. The Rockets, despite all the negativity on this board, are in a great position and will be contenders in the next 2-3 years.

He’s definitely a SOF. That’s the only player he talks about. No other player on this team matters to him

Dude acts like we can’t see other threads, he cries everytime Silas says Sengun had a pretty good game… “OMG, he only said pretty good! If that was Jalen or KPJ he would of said awesome”

    I agree with you.

I'm very excited about the defensive potential of Bari, Tari and Dynasty.

    Let's get that coaching!

He’s pic says it all, same with his posts. Why isn’t Alpi playing, give alpi the ball, alpi is the franchise, alpi is athletic, alpi is better than Sabonis… he’s been here a long time, but he’s become a SOF. It’s clear as day

I responded to "gfab-babyboi's" (lol) post where he complained that I dared to mention Alpi when Jabari had 2 steals and 3 blocks or something like that.

Fact - Alpi does get a lot more steals and also more blocks than Jabari. That's obviously only one aspect of defense, but one player gets called a terrible defender by haters here while the other one gets called a defensive specialist.

I want them both to do well.

LOL you are so triggered. Look at that pic again!

If you want to know, my order of which players I like most (regardless of skill level):

    Alpi
    Tari

    Boban
    Tate
    KMJ
    Jabari
    Green

    TyTy
    Josh Christopher
    Gordon
    Garuba

    Fernando
    Matthews
    Nix
    Porter

Edited - these are probably the tiers in terms of how much I like them. I don't really "hate" anyone on the team, although Nix and Porter both give me bad attitude vibes from what I see on the screen.

People can move up and down based on how they play and what they do/say.

Overall, I'm just a big fan. Now that I am almost in the same timezone, I can watch a lot more games, and I am excited about how good this team will hopefully be in 2 years.

Porter and green are way down on the list they’re guess that take away opportunities from Sengun. That’s the only reason

No, I like Green and have high hopes for him. I don't think he takes opportunities away from Sengun at all, they should be very complementary.

I just like the other guys even more.
    • I love Tari's hustle. He seems to never give up. Also, his mom is cool.
    • Boban is just goofy and seems really likeable. Obviously, his on-court contribution is minimal, but like almost everyone, I like him.
    • Tate seems to be the heart and soul of the locker room. His play sometimes frustrates me a bit, I wish he could shoot the three better, as he does take it relatively often.
    • KMJ - I love his hops and energy. Just fun to watch. Best cutter on the team.
    • Jabari - I like his attitude. See a lot of potential. I hope he directs his energy towards opponents and towards improvement, rather than publicly yapping with his teammates.
What I like about Green - he seems quite positive, smiles a lot, enthusiastic, and when he's on, he's ON. Great talent, and I think the best "pure scorer" on the team (more so than Alpi, who has more of an all-around game).

What I don't like so much - his inconsistency. I realize he is also still young, but I was hoping for better shooting and better defensive effort and understanding at this point, and fewer careless turnovers. Since I'm an old fart, I also don't really get the painted fingernails thing and stuff, but that is not important.

Fair point, I get it. But would you rather paint your nails or run around with T-Rex arms? Lmaooo

I don’t care if Green is a drag queen in his off time. Who gives a sh*t? I want the Rockets to be great and Green being great would make that much more likely. He just needs to use his painted fingernails on the defensive end of the ball.

I wish he shot that good. He's white Corey Brewer.
