When Tari and Jabari develop their game and establish themselves in the league, this team will be a defensive nightmare for their opponents.
I was so mad when he got fouled on that 3 and missed 2 out of the 3 I knew that would come back to bite us...but that clutch 3 in double OT redeemed it.
11 rebounds and they're all defensive. Before the season, he said he was going to focus on making an impact on defense, and he's definitely keeping his promise.
Jabari has great length that helps with defense and rebounding, and his handles are getting better. Before the end of the year, he and Bancheros are going to be neck and neck for the ROY.
I don't think it was credited. He got a rebound to his name on that play and not a block. I thought I saw 2 blocks late in the game, but he was only credited for the 1 on Montrezl early
Great clip. But good lord KPJ. You bit on a fake to the right by the most notorious lefty in the league. Harden got by him at half speed.
Not a bad game for the 8th best Rookie from the 2022 draft https://www.espn.com/nba/insider/st...-rankings-best-first-year-players-far-2022-23 I love it when writers have strong opinions based on not watching the Rockets at all
Wait, what? We can just pass him the ball instead of bemoaning his lack of handles? Wow, who would've thought. I was told I should have watched all his NCAA games so that I could know that he's too raw at handling the ball, it would take a long time to get around this problem and he has too low a ceiling. It's looking to me like we have a sure fire 20-25ppg player with excellent to elite defense. In NBA history, all such players have had massive impact on winning in the regular season and playoffs. It never mattered how those points came about. Think of 3 such players off the top of your head. They're all winners. Also, please don't freak out if his shot cools off for a bit. He's STILL a kid and he must go through ups and downs over and over again this season.
His on ball perimeter defense reminds me of Harden's post defense. Gets overlooked, but if you know you know..
He’s already brought his 3pt % up to 36% and he’s showing a lot more confidence going to the rim. His defense is as advertised and he’s been better on the boards than I anticipated.
I don't disagree with the ranking given how bad he was to start. But if he keeps up the way he's been the last couple weeks, he will be top 3 by end of year.
