With his height and fast release, it's almost impossible to close out on him if the defender doesn't stick close to him. That will create huge space for the interior.

I will be disappointed if Jabari doesn't make more three pointers. I'm expecting Jabari to get more attempts per game than Mitchell.

David Robinson in Jabari Smith? What? Ugh. I used to like comp'ing young players too, but its just gotten sensationalistic.

It’s his leadership and demeanor that Lucas was speaking to. Not his game ya moron.

Lebron, MJ and Kobe were extremely skilled.

    :rolleyes:o_O

Obsession, consistency and passion for game is good too but still need NBA level skills to be great in NBA.

    Love it.

Bari with chip on his shoulder will be a beautiful thing.

    Absolutely correct assessment.

Bari + EGo, especially in the corners will open up floor for Green, KPJ, Sengun.

They will all have a runway to rim wide enough to land a transport plane.

He even said his passing was underrated and his best strength (not being a 7 foot run and jump freak).

    Passing is a skill genius.

Jabari Smith is the definition of a blue chip type of player. Others can be found at your local flea market.

Lucas: "Dont give him (Sarge) the whole package - don't give him the whole package!"

Jabari: *laughs + shrugs after knocking down every trey*

Going to give Lucas the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Admiral's demeanor was nowhere near Jordan-esque or Kobe-esque.

Honestly I may even say Jabari is MORE vocal and in control particularly on defense if "demeanor" is now the topic.

David Robinson was a silent assassin. Not sure everyone here watched him live and can go beyond highlight reels but he was a gentle giant who controlled the post. I just laugh when guys get all aggressive in defense of these comps where they are blatantly coachspeak. I like all our players too but I'd be every single top 20 player in history has been comp'd to our guys at some point and its just too much. Let these young guys blaze their own trails.

    SMH

I think I'll take the opinion of a guy who coached Robinson and spent time with him on and off the court, in the locker room and the like, over any of us that just watched the guy on the TV. If he sees it then cool. I'll take that anyday.

I mean, if Silas said KPJ's demeanor, his fire and obsession with being great reminded him of a young Lebron, you wouldn't be excited? Please.

    C'mon Verbal.

If @Verbal Christ is a moron, I'd like to throw my name into the moron hat. Sounds like a nice hat to be in.

Why generalize everything within a forum into one thought? I simply stated that I think its dumb that every young player coming into the league has to be compared to some top 20 talent ever without even finishing a season. For the record I got sucked into that vacuum too with Jalen last year and its nonsense. I fully support the new "archetype" method because it will always be a black eye for these kids with the bullies that run around looking to run victory laps if they dont turn into Kobe or David Robinson -- demeanor or not.

On the flip side NOTHING is off limits in a forum then right? Judging by the D&D and how much "fun" some of you seem to have I would probably agree with that actually now that I think about it.
