One thing Scoot clearly isn’t is Mr. Nix.

First of all, I dont give a **** if you ignore me, I dont even know who you are lol I dont even recall saying that to you BECAUSE I DONT RMEMBER YOU. Lastly you can say whatever you want youre wrong these things are connected and they are connected to ONE person. Thats the coach. I was saying the same things about Nash and people where telling me Nash wasnt the problem. I was being mean to Nash blah blah blah whine, LOOK AT BROOKLYN NOW.

Without tonight's numbers, KPJ is averaging 5.7 assists and 3.9 TO.
Is there another starting PG in this league with worse numbers?

This is right answer for the short term. Remember Silas and Silas alone got us Green. Let the coach do his thing and in years to come the smart fans will thank him.

Agree. Note that when TyTy delivers a pass to a shooter, it's where they they can comfortably go quickly into their shooting motion or execute their next move. As a guy that played the position (long ago) this is part of the subtle art of becoming a difference maker.

I want to see MORE TyTy! He's not crazy dynamic, but he's solid and will get better with more time. It's actually fun to watch him handle the ball and always seem to make the right decision.

Exactly a real point guard understands that. But when you say thing slike this people say youre hating on KPJ and I just hate the narative surrounding the entire thing.

He fell because he is slow and not particularly explosive athletically. So it limits his potential to turn into a star at the PG spot. In the lottery, teams are swinging for stars, and will draft on upside

I think TyTy has upside, and late first round he was a steal. Let's see how he looks the next 18 months and just what kind of upside he seems to have.
My gut feel is "high level backup PG"

You don't need stars everywhere. Sometimes a savvy baller who does one or two things well is required to get the stars to mesh in the best possible way. I mean, the Lakers won with guys like Rick Fox and Derek Fisher and the only reason we remember their names is because they played on championship teams (that said, Fox has quite the resume in another department--Tyra Banks, Vanessa Williams, Sharon Stone, Mariah Carey, Kristin Davis, Eliza Dushku). The Warriors have won with Looney and Livingston. The Bucks with Lopez and Connaughton. The Raptors with everyone not named Leonard. And so on.

Point is, if TyTy becomes a smart point guard who plays within his limits while putting teammates into advantageous positions, that's more than enough to start and win if you have a couple of teammates that are stars. High-end role players make champions. Just ask Robert Horry.

I like KPJ, I believe he's come a long way and has talent. He's a natural SG who is trying to adapt his game. He's made some improvements, but nothing that convinces me he's the long-term answer. In fact, JG's passing ability and playmaking instincts have surpassed Scoot's from my eyeball test.
Would love to see how this lineup looked...
    Sengun
    Smith
    Porter
    Green
    Washington

    or

    Sengun
    Smith
    Eason
    Green
    Washington

Porter could be a lighting rod with the "Goon Squad". Just need the right coach to show him how crazy effective he could be as a SG/SF versus PG.
