how's about we keep our guys, trade back 3 spots, pocket 2 2nd rd picks - and still grab TyTy? lol!

I'm just still giddy about this draft - who'd thought we'd be able to grab TyTy at 29?!? just unbelievable... lol

thats what i said the whole while we were running small ball...

but if some is good... then more must be better... and if thats the best option - then lets just do only that.

    lol! ;)

Yep, that's what helped make Harden a bigger beast in Houston. He had to go against Tucker every day in practice.

PJ is so intense we had a preseason game against Miami and he was taking charges, diving for loose balls and arguing with refs in his late 30s. In Phoenix right before he hit the Rockets he was a defensive monster, check his film.

Agreed, he was mocked as high as 10 … the injury in the tourney may have been to our benefit. I think he’s a late lotto talent.

Fact is that resources aren't only the picks/players you use to get a player. Training, coaching, support system, role on the team, minutes played etc etc. Those things are resources too IMO.

And after giving it all to him, I doubt he would be ok with having a lesser role and coming off the bench, at least at this stage of his mental developement.

Back to Tari, 'cause this thread is about him. He was the one guy I absolutely wanted to be drafted by us. From picks 10 to 16, I was nervous as hell, but luckily he fell to us. Needless to say I was extremely happy. I think he will become our defensive anchor in the best case scenario. Also, another interesting bit I heard while listening the Auburn's coach interview. He mentioned the possibility of Tari playing spot minutes as a small ball 5, saying he's strong enough or something like that...

He's a coin toss. But he's an instant upgrade for the Rockets. So he will have a chance to develop on the court.

    Bamba's 3 is better than his D.

Bamba just lacks lateral agility to switch. But worse, his effort is suspect.

Thats the beautiful thing: with him and Smith we have two forwards that both compliment each other well. Eason is more of a slasher that can also shoot, Smith is more of a shooter that will work on his slashing. Both can defend every position.

Can’t wait to have Tate , Tari , and Gary on the floor at the same time .

put Jabari and garuba our there too . Maybe JC or green . Man , our defense is gonna be fun to watch this year .

just have to make enough shots to stick around .

Don’t confuse someone lacking polish and not being well educated with someone being dumb as a box of rocks. He isn’t really stupid, he can also see the floor well.

His press introduction Q&A was impressive. Comes off as intelligent or at least unrattled at public speaking.

The Rockets Front court in Height, Wingspan, Body Type are similar

Haven't had these types since 1994

    Robert Horry 6'9 - Tari Eason 6'8
Otis Thorpe - Alperen Sengun Both 6'9
Hakeem Olajuwon - Jabari Smith - Both 6'10

Agreed. He is also someone that speaks differently depending on his audience.

It is just a pet peeve of mine that some people assume others are smart or dumb depending on their syntax.
Larry Bird for example is very simple in his speech and is very bright.
