Tari has great instincts defensively and on the boards. He can read the path of the ball really well. On offense he is a total mess. I think he is the most inept player at running the break that I've ever seen. He's missed Green, KJ, and Tate in ONE GAME streaking on the break...and he missed layups each time. He needs to slow down and let the game come to him, if you listen to his interviews he comes across as a real smart kid. Just needs to translate that to the basketball court. Then again, as we've seen with JLin, sometimes basketball IQ never really comes.
You've gotta be kidding me. Ever heard the legend of Garry Bird? I've got to admit, he's about as unpredictable on offense as anybody I've seen. But at least he's not completely one-dimensional - he's at least doing some good elsewhere on the court and contributing. Usually, anyway.
I'm pretty excited about what Tari showed this past season. He really outpaced where people thought he would be coming into the draft. All he really needs to do is get a bit better at finishing around the bucket and knocking down threes (and just consistent D like all youngsters) and he will be good enough to start in this league for a long time.
Can folks imagine how good Tari will be 3 yrs from now? I view him as an absolute core player. And have no problem with him as our starting 3 next season if we strike out on Cam. Tari is my favorite rocket. I have the Atari/Tari clutchfans shirt to prove it.
