Somebody needs to. I saw that shotput shot of his from college and cringed. Nice game today, but he did show some of his weaknesses, but it's just the first game and summer league, so no reason to be worried or excited, I guess.
He'll need some time. We couldn't have drafted a better raw player. Frankly we can teach him defense since he has the motor and attention span. What's good is that he played as a 6th man in college so he's learned to attack quickly and refine his offensive game a bit.
Some folks were commenting that he’s a zero offensively. Really? Certainly he’s raw but I was pleasantly surprised. He wasn’t an efficient shooter but the mechanics are there. He was strong to the rim and I saw some good natural improv which u can’t really teach. I think if you watched him closely you have to be really excited. The defense and rebounding weren’t really in question, but the upside was certainly there offensively. Honestly the sky is the limit with him.
I’ve done stuff like that with the rim that goes over my son’s bedroom door. If he misses, I just snatch it one hand out of midair.
Glad I wasn't the only one who saw that... Instantly thought of Kawhi when he did that (just how he grabbed the ball -- don't overreact to that comment clutchfans people)
I love it. He only attacks the basket and if that's not available it's a 3 and he doesn't take forever to decide. Defensively look at his feet, he just gets it.
If I had 0 prior knowledge of Eason, our draft positions, and other draft candidates leading up to the first summer league game and someone told me we picked him #8-#12 I wouldn't be completely shocked after watching him these first 2 games.
