I am setting the bar very low, I hope we do well but I have a feeling nutjobs like Walker and Oz will win which makes no sense to me, but it is what it is.......I actually think Warnock is a hell of a candidate and the gop doesn't really care if Walker is nothing more than a puppet

    Does it really?

If the Republican Party stood for more than just pissing off the libs in Texas I would say so, but they are all one hive mind.

I know I am probably part of the problem turning Texas at least purple, but I just don't ever see it happening.

I had the same problem with my machine here in a ruby red county in Texas as a mid aged white man (I say that because Texas would want my vote). I don’t think there’s a conspiracy here. Just old machines and high turnout elections the past few cycles has them putting a lot of miles on the machines.

You know what I did though.. I raised my hand and a sweet little lady helped fix the machine.

    Not a conspiracy lady.

The downballot races still matter. The makeup of your commissioners court, county judge, local judicial elections, etc.. are all matter too. Dems can't build the infrastructure necessary to win statewide if they aren't making piecemeal gains at lower levels in conjunction with growing the statewide percentages.

The Rs spent decades trying to break the dominance of Democrats in Texas. You have to keep trying and keep focusing on organizational growth before you'll see a breakthrough. This is also how you build a well run party as well. Statewide dominance of elections breeds complacency so the Rs will eventually falter but how quickly that happens is also dependent on how well Ds continue to grow their base.

Just to be clear, Scottsdale is a Republican leaning surburb in a Republican run state. And the county's voting machines were improperly taken by a Republican-led scam voter fraud commission which caused the county to have to replace the machines because of potential tampering by the scam commission. But yes, I'm sure Kari Lake will fix things.

Any reasonable voting district would use mismatched signatures as nothing more than a initial sign to do a deeper dive investigation. The new fascists that have taken over some of these voting districts now just use the mismatched signature as the sole criteria and just toss out the ballot which is antithetical to the concept of our Bill of Rights. When you toss a ballot, you are essentially denying a citizen their right. There should be significantly higher bars to clear than just a mismatched signature to deny someone their voting rights.

This is what I mean by fascism.

It drives me crazy when I go to Mexico and they expect me to replicate the signature I have on my TX License/US Passport. I always felt that was antiquated ****, but now seeing this BS in my country, it does drive me insane. I have a hard time replicating my signature, even when I'm ****ing looking at it lol.

It really does create sole subjective criteria for anyone to abuse the system and just toss ballots willy nilly. It's so obviously a direct violation of voting rights and you have posters defending it WHILE being offended they are being labeled fascist.

Own up to it mother ****ers.

Are you saying an old white person might subconsciously give extra scrutiny to a "Jabari" or "Monique" than they would to a "David" or "Sue"? UNPOSSIBUL!
