Based on recent US electoral history and the current environment, the Republicans should take the House.
I tell people I am neither Demo or Repub That said .. . . Clinton had one of the (ECONOMICALLY) best presidencies and He did not have the house or senate (unless I am mistaken) IF that is the formula .. . so be it but No one seens McCturtle being accomodating or reaching across the isle like back then Rocket River
We'll see. Larry Elder brought up the idea that the election was rigged before the election was over in CA. Trump is still going around the country telling people he won and many Republicans still refuse to accept the results of the last election. To win their primaries Republican candidates might choose to run on the idea that 2020 was stolen.
It's virtually guaranteed that some very high profile Republicans will complain about election fraud prior to election day. They've done it literally every year since 2016.
They will never admit defeat, the funny thing is why would you recount TX, Trump won the state.....by gerrymandering but still, what a stupid idea. Feed the base and they will reelect you no matter how much BS you spout
He is behind in the polling. Just setting the stage for his loss and subsequent claim of "rigging". No doubt Trump will make an appearance after a loss of his hand picked candidate.
The point isn't turnout for the modern GOP. The point is to muddy the waters for all future elections where state legislatures can feel secure in swapping out election officials that do their bidding. The GOP knows they are losing the demographic battle. This is their last hope.
We need to see the ramifications of economic policy of presidents 10 and 20 years down the line. And Clinton was partly to blame for the 2008 crash and even he sort of admits it.
Heck, we've had dreck in politics for a very long time, RR. What we are seeing now from trump, his deluded followers, and the Republicans holding office and running the GOP is something else altogether, something far, far worse that's a genuine clear and present danger to our democracy. Many of the latter know damn well that Biden won the 2020 election fair and square, but they are going along with trump's Big Lie out of fear of getting primaried by a trump picked extremist willing to lie even louder than they do. Abbott's a perfect example of what I'm talking about. By the way, it would be nice if someone like @Os Trigonum would express a genuine fear of what the Republican Party with trump is doing to this country's democracy by continuing to "contest" the 2020 election. Instead, he seems uninterested. Finding something negative about Biden and the Democratic Party holding far more interest for him than the open threat to the democratic system of government of the United States of America. In my humble opinion.
Democrats are gonna get crushed and not from republicans but from their own base compiled of black and Hispanic voters who make up a large percentage of the unvaccinated. They are not cool with the vaccine mandates, and definitely don’t wanna feel like they in communist china say what you want to about republicans but they aren’t as controlling as the democrats are becoming
Except for the Republicans in Government who dictate and prevent private business from making their own decisions. Except for the Republicans that try and control women's rights to choose, The list goes on and on.
