We were just spoiled for years with Les I think. I know most are POS grifters.

Pop and Kerr aren't owners BTW. I think the Spurs owner is a Republican if I recall.

I have a special kind of disdain for Tillman though coming from years in the restaurant industry. His treatment of Tigers at the Houston aquarium is abusive at best.

    google Greg Orman

grifter McMullin running as a pretend independent while getting funded by Democrats (even though he ran to the right of Trump in 2016) is exactly what you would expect from a former CIA operative

It's as if "election denier, anti-Democracy" is a politically weak line of attack and voters for some reason care more about kitchen table issues

I saw CNN on in a hotel lobby this week and it's non-stop Jan 6th committee coverage

The Ringer did a story on this a few years ago. Basically almost all donations from owners goes to Republicans. The only owner that donates large sums to Democrats is Steve Balmer. There are some other owners that donate exclusively to Democrats but the actual amounts are quite small. Half of owners donate relatively little each year while the half that does skews heavily Republican (with the exception of Steve Balmer).

Without Democracy the "kitchen table issues" don't exist in a way that we have any power over controlling. That's why it's an important issue for me. If it's not for other voters who might be "swing" voters than I feel like America is it's own worst enemy. Or American ignorance to be more specific.

If the American middle prefers Autocracy because they don't have to worry about anything and just blindly trust a strongman like Putin or MBS, or Kim Jung who will just distract them then America will get what it wants.

I get it though from the American swing voter than life isn't as good as they would like it so they just want to bury their head in the sand, and watch Football, and HGTV. I sometimes wish I was ignorant enough to just bury my head in the sand, and say F everyone in DC.

But in the end... THAT IS A PROBLEM WITH ME. IT WOULD BE MY FAULT THAT I WOULD CHOOSE IGNORANCE AND APATHY.

You want a three hour riot to disqualify a party from ever being considered, regardless of how the alternative is performing.

But that's not the political reality, even if you think it should be.

Secretary of State candidates are literally running on their ability to change election results if they don't like the result. Calling it a "Three Hour Riot" either proves you to be ignorant, or dishonest.

Was this attempt by our very own Texas rep simply part of a "3 hour riot"???

    https://www.texastribune.org/2020/12/11/texas-lawsuit-supreme-court-election-results/

This was an example of Republicans proving they'll use their power to try and overturn Democracy at any time. If you vote Republican not thinking about what you are potentially giving up long term in relation to Democracy, you are a fool, or you are actively supporting a shift towards an Autocratic government more in line with Russia and Hungary's governing structure.

There's just no way to see it otherwise. Will "swing" voters make that decision though based on either ignorance, or a clear minded choice???... We'll see.

The political reality is that because of Trump, now any given State senate or house election or governor election or US Senate or House election has roughly 1/3rd of GOP candidates claiming that if they lose its because of fraud or claiming they won when they lost.

Ya buddy the sustainability of that type of society ain't great. You want to look at other nations that don't have peaceful transitions of power? Time moves slowly. These trends happen over years. Overnight democracy does not end. It's a slow trickle due to people like you bootlicking for those people I referred to. Snap out of it dude. We were a nation that prided itself on peaceful transition of power.

Without peaceful transition of power there is no kitchen table issues.

The electorate does not agree with your prioritization of this concern.

    “3 hour riot”.

We are about to see a bunch of republicans all claim the election was stolen when they lose in November.

The party needs to evolve and win new voters, not cry and claim they were cheated when they lose.

True it's not the top priority but it does appear to be in the top three.

I agree Democrats shouldn't run solely on the Jan. 6th and most Democratic ads I've seen aren't focussing on that. That doesn't mean that it isn't an issue.

Has Beto put out a single ad focused on January 6th?? I seriously cannot recall a single one yet all my MAGA friends say about Beto is they'll never vote for him because he's only focused on turning Texas "woke" and only talks about "The January 6th witch hunt."

I expect a blue wave if Jan 6 can rise up and become a bigger issue.
