I don't think Democrats are doing better than expected. My opinion is they were doing so poorly that RvW and this bear market rally has bounced them to mediocrity. Nothing good or bad has happened in the last two years(to Americans). The bigger concern is the tail end of this cycle leading into the election. If the Democrats lose Congress AND we go into a solid recession, this is really bad news in 2024.
was reading about "approval voting" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Approval_voting an interesting concept
dude is in his 50s still living off his parents' money and dresses like an emo teenager (or rather, dresses like someone who has never had to work, blue or white collar)
why is the life-long Chicagoan Cortes pretending that he knows PA blue collar workers He is even more pretentious than the quack Dr Oz, who at least ls from NJ which borders PA btw, Donald Trump, the ultimate trust fund baby, was living off the trust fund (created by his father) until the death of his father, when Trump was in his 60s, and a grandfather. yet, Steve Cortes has no problem w this trust fund baby
That is how the blue collar 50 and under dress in the Midwest and Rust Belt. Your other points may or may not be valid but the attire and tattoos are on point. He looks like and acts like a Union welder and not a future Senator.
Hard to read which side this favors. Is this mostly Ds concerned about the Rs Empowering the Steal in 2022/2024? Or is this the Rs concerned about Stopping the Deal in 2022/2024?
I don’t think it’s that big of a deal how he dresses on the campaign trail but hope at least in official functions he wears a suit. Besides that Krysten Sinema has blown away the idea there is a Senator dress code. what Fetterman is doing though is working considering he’s building on his lead over Oz. If republicans are going to complain about how he dresses or that he lived with his parents maybe they shouldn’t have nominated a grifter who doesn’t even live in PA and votes in Turkish elections.
“Threats to democracy” do cover both left and right since both sidles but I think that specific term is more on the Dem side. Republicans tend to use the term “voter integrity.”
Given how low Biden was polling and that historically the party on power takes a beating in the midterms the Democrats are doing much better. A few months ago a red wave seemed not just possible but highly likely. The midterms at this moment appear to be close with Democrats not just holding the Senate but building on it. Republicans still seemed poised to win the House but not by as much as they might’ve. Will still caveat that a lot can change between here and November.
gop playbook...........when you don't have something to gripe about, just complain about anything trivial so you can show them dam evil left bastards that were gonna get ya one way or another. Of course then go out and tell the world how much you love GOD and what a great Christian you are
Why would anyone want to share a dorm room with cult members and be inundated with propaganda and overall nonsense?
