It looks like the attack on Zelden was easily stopped and not a huge threat. That said I don't think we should be making light of physical assaults on elected representatives and candidates. Especially if we don't agree with them politically. Making light of assaults even if they don't seem too dangerous just encourages others to do so.
It could've been an Abe situation given how lax the detail was. But it's mostly because the dude was drunk and pulled a Fatty that people here can shrug it off. Kinda similar to some Cons reaction with the Capital Riots in the sense that they weren't successful... I mean, he's a vet, so I'm assuming he could've executed better if he really wanted to.
Gotta have sideshows in a circus. Come to the rally! Everyone will be flying those F*** Biden flags, Trump, and Q flags, hats, and shirts. There will even be a guy selling pillows at one booth, Confederate flags at another, and plenty of Trump souvenirs. Meanwhile you try your luck at winning a Trump flag at the dart game with Cheney face targets while you listen to some deranged man on the stage screaming about how the vote was stolen from him.
I hope this is a wake-up call for that vet. His drinking got him charged by the federal government for assaulting a member of Congress. I think federal charges might be a sign you're an alcoholic.
