Pitre leads the Texans in tackles and missed tackles? Kinda sums Pitre up. At least tackling is a teachable skill.
Minka Fitzpatrick at #4 for safeties? Seriously? The top 3 are rock solid, then the list drops off a cliff. On the other hand, the NFL is loaded with great edge rushers. The Texans could end up with two in the top 10 over the course of the season.
Eye test told me that Pitre made this defense from really good, to best in the league potential. I like the move. The Texans are paying the right guys. One of the big reasons I didn't care for Tunsil was due to his softness. It didn't fit the culture of the team that the coach wanted. These are the type of guys you should invest in.
Mixed feelings on this... you see what he skillset brings to the D but he got picked on a lot in coverage before getting hurt.
