With Sting, Lassiter, Bullock, and Pitre coming back we have the potential of having a Legion of Boom type secondary

Gotta add one more CB or S in FA if they go offense in the draft.

Man, oh man, watching replays of Sting, he has that classic, hand on the back and then turns his head to try and take the ball, he is ALL over his opponent, even on plays where they caught the ball, he was so dam sticky, and there were some great throws by Herbert. Sting has come into his own this year, I am biased but I will take him over ANYONE. Nick needs to find a S and a backup CB in the off season and this D will be elite nest year............Sting is definitely one of the pillars of this team moving forward, I like that he isn't one of those players who needs to boast and taunt, the young man is going to get paid!!! Monster contracts coming to Sting, WAJ, Stroud and hell, Lassiter is going to command a big pay day.

One of the things I love about Sting is how disciplined he is. Like on plays where he has a chance to make a play on the ball, he still ensures he is in position to also make a tackle if he can't. There were a couple instances of that yesterday. One was the play where he forced the fumble, he was making the tackle while also punching the ball, so if the "peanut punch" didn't work he would still get the ball carrier down. Another was on that critical 4th down stop. He made a play on the pass with his right hand but also had his body in position to tackle the receiver with his left arm if that didn't work. They ended up calling it incomplete so he got a PD on the play, but even if the WR had made a great catch Sting made sure the guy didn't get the first down. Just textbook, disciplined, smart CB play. I love watching this dude.

Hey, do a post season comparison! Lets see who...wait. Wut?

Tell that New York trash to call us when Sting:

    1. Gets TORCHED
    2. Quits on the play
    and
    3. Then hits the nitrous in order to blow up his own teammate and allow Davis to stroll in.

One of the worst efforts in the history of organized sports.

I remember how down everyone was that we didn't get Sauce.

    We took the correct corner.

Between drafting Stingley and winning the last game he coached that lead to drafting Stroud, Lovie has had a big impact on the Texans rebuild. The downside was Lovie's Green pick

Did I miss something on Stingley being a Lovie pick? Lovie played Tampa 2 and Stingley was a man-man guy.. weren't we all complaining he wasn't using him right?
And honestly... after picking Lassiter, when none of us had him that high, the common denominator is Caserio, not a coach.

Lovie went and checked out Stingley's pro day. He also talked to the Stingley family while there according to what I've heard. They told him the Lisfranc surgery was successful and the Dr.'s checked him out. Lovie then went to Caserio and told him he preferred Stingley over Sauce. Lovie also went to Sauce's pro day.

If I wasn't concerned for injury, I'd like to see if Sting could play some WR (he'd be our Travis Hunter). His hands are incredible and I think he'd be good at route running too. Maybe have 1 or 2 packages for him.

I would put him out there and he would only run Fly/Curls/Back shoulders. Desperate times call for Desperate measures.
