I think the last time the Texans picked a CB in the first it was Kevin Johnson.

Unless he becomes Deion Sanders, I don't like this pick.

CBs are not hard to find....seems a stretch to me.

You're right that CBs are not hard to find - but true shutdown CBs are a lot more difficult to acquire. Now, I'm not sure Stingley will stay healthy enough to reach that level (Sauce was my choice there) but he DOES have the talent to do exactly that. Here's to health!

DD doesn't like the pick so we should look forward to seeing him in Canton

Don’t need a shutdown corner when your pass rush is disruptive.

Same could be said in the opposite direction, but they reached.

If Thibs and/or Hamilton end up being all pro’s, pro bowlers or HOF’s…this is typical of the Texans over thinking.

I'm stoked about getting a top CB, but wouldn't Sauce have been a better pick simply because of Stingley's injuries? I mean is he so much better than Sauce to risk it? I have no idea at all. I don't watch much college ball.

I hear past Lisfranc injury and that scares me. Schaub was never the same after his injury and he was no CB. I just hope he won't be another Fuller with injury issues and missing 5 or 6 games a season. You know our luck with risky picks. Hopefully he becomes the best CB we've ever had and the injury woes will be a thing of the past. Fingers crossed.

Good info here on his upbringing.
Had a complete lisfranc tear, trying to play on it and kept it secret.
Seems like he has a great work ethic, good head on his shoulders and a great family/support system.
    Rooting for him!

He was all american as a freshman and has played in 10 games since that season.

The jaded Texan fan in me just can't believe how they keep picking injury prone players and expect the result to be different.

I saw on a draft profile if he is healthy he could be one of the best CB's in the league, but he hasn't been healthy since 2019.

I'm just glad they got a player that plays their correct position ... I'm so sick of "swing" or "versatile" when the Texans draft a player..

Injury risk. Lis Franc is no joke. With that known I would have gone with Sauce.

All of that doesn’t matter if Stingly reaches his potential as well. Which I think he will.. the only difference is if Stingly reaches his, he will be a superstar.

Is he so much better than Sauce to have taken him instead? I hate to see our top draft pick have an injury like that. I don't know much about the guys but it concerns me when there were top guys to choose as our first pick who had healthier histories.
