This might end up being the biggest draft say misses in Houston sports history. On par with passing up on Rashad Lewis
Stingley has been good when he has played. Not ready to call him a flop whatsoever. He is 22. Yall need to chill.
Ok maybe flop was the incorrect word but dang attendance is part of the job. He’s looked good when on the field but he’s never on the field.
Taking a well known injury plagued CB over a very similar talent level CB in Sauce coupled with the enormous reach for Green is just inexcusable. Nick is being given kudos for the 23 draft but likely would have gone with Young over Stroud. Casserio has not done a good job as a GM.
For me it’s hard to tell if he’s picking or letting the coaches do the picking early. Either way it doesn’t seem smart to let someone else decide your fate. Guess that goes both ways for the coaches too
That's irrelevant because he could have traded more capital for YOUNG to pull off the trade. He held and then took Stroud. Worked out quite well.
I mean, he was the safest pick with elite upside. He was playing better than Sauce to open the season. Sure Gardner had a great year 1, but Stingley was an incredible player at LSU pre Linsfranc and theres nothing to suggest you can't full recover from it. I get the pick. Lets see if Stingley can stay healthy. By all means, if its next year and he still can't get on the field then we should have a conversation. I think were a bit too early on this right now and I could ultimately be wrong.
