Sheeeeeit....put Fisher in as the 2nd TE, power I...and then throw a slant to TANK DELL The possibilities are endless.
Shhh! Don't give way regular season plays in the pre-season. Of course Slowik will have a dozen options off the play design before it's introduced.
Not every promising player will work out, but this is one I'm really really hoping does. My optimism though is based on having numerous tickets in the promising player lottery this season AND still having the capital to fix problems from whatever cause. And I do have a bit of comfort knowing that we do have the potential insurance of JJ if needed. Almost every detractor appears to be hyper-focused on things which have changed that negatively affect the Texans without realizing how much better they are after the off season. They act like every player becomes a stiff on their 30th birthday unless they've been injured and play in or near NYC.
Kenyon and Tytus had the best overall grades according to this tweet. Not sure what the breakdowns were just yet, but will post when they filter through. This is where I say I was wrong to dismiss Green. He looks like he's put in some work to shed the bust label. Good for him. Good for the team.
Finally healthy enough for long enough to learn what he needs to learn. This is also Anthony Richard's problem. Not a single injury, but a series which hinders development.
Very happy for KG. He’s picked up the Zone scheme system well and overcome some bad habits and coaching from his years at Texas A&M.
I was not overly enthused the first two years about Kenyon, but he looks in line for a historic turnaround... shout out for putting in the work, young fella!
So far so good. Gotta have patience with a young OL, especially one who was unfortunately hit with the injury bug early. Glad the Texans gave him a chance and believed in him, unlike some fans.
Green developing into an above average Guard would be such a massive development for the trajectory of this offense/team. Will be paying a lot of attention to him over the course of the next few games to see if he keeps it up, but he looked damn good yesterday. You can tell he did a lot of work on his body/agility this offseason.
That’s what we need to see. I’ll forgive Nick for passing up the obvious choice in Kyle Hamilton if Green stays healthy and keeps this up.
I really liked the Green pick at the time and I'm glad he's living up to his potential. But man I really wanted Casrio to pick Jordan Davis or Hamilton. Those guys are going to be all pro type players.
After his first two seasons I figured he would be a guy that maybe stuck around the NFL for a while as a backup/reserve never fulfilling his potential. So thrilled to be preparing a big bowl of crow, he looks really good.
I was in on Hamilton & Zion Johnson (or Linderbaum or Cole Strange or Cam Jurgens or Zach Tom or Matt Waletzko). Suffice it to say I did not have Keny Green on my bingo card.
