Asterisk the bubble trophy all you want, but the man coached his way to a title...and this is how you treat him?

Don't think I've ever seen a championship winning coach be treated this way, ever. Meanwhile, Russ, LeBron and AD get to enjoy the offseason.

Cmon man Lebron and AD arent enjoying they want their legacy. Pelinka isnt happy cuz firing Vogel was a "its you or me move", he got no scapegoats left he is up next. Westbrick is the only happy dude on the Lakers cuz he doesnt care about anyone except himself.

Coaches are always the first guy blamed, but Vogel is a very competent coach especially for young guys who will give him the respect he deserved. I'd be all aboard bringing thst guy in.

"We're the Lakers; of course people would want to come here!":rolleyes:

I doubt Nurse would leave Toronto, Snyder is highly unlikely to bolt, and Rivers...I don't think his ego will allow him to be a scapegoat for LeBron/AD if things fall apart.

In lieu (Lue) of Laker's poor seasonal health, Lakers are looking for a Doc(tor) and a Nurse.

Did you read the comments from Russell Westbrook basically verifying all of the things I heard about Westbrook on the Rockets and what was leaked by the Lakers?

Westbrook claimed that Vogel and LeBron and Davis never let him play his game.... he said that he will play his style of game next year and will get assurances of that before he comments on staying in LA.

The situation with Westbrook in Houston was extremely difficult for the coaching staff, the GM and even the players.... Westbrook came in wanting to change everything from when they practiced, to how they practiced and watched film.... he never cared to embrace or even learn how the Rockets were going to play ball..... Harden actually completely changed his game in the middle of the season so they could appease Westbrook...... who then went off script in the playoffs and blamed everyone in the organization.....

The guy is a franchise killer and doesn't play winning basketball...

I don't see Nurse leaving, he knows that he needs to be in a progress organization and he has that in Toronto.

I think that Snyder is gone unless he has more say in the front office, and that isn't happening.... he will be coaching somewhere else and the Lakers for a lot of money and a chance to coach AD and LBJ may be the place.

Daryl Morey likes Rivers as a person and thinks he is a strong leader, but Rivers supposedly wants out to LA or back to Florida. I wouldn't be surprised if he is gone unless the Sixers come out of the East.

Silas will be season to season the next couple of years. He has had a hard situation handling Wood and Porter Jr .... I think they move on from Wood and give Silas a chance.

Dave Joerger is a dark horse to take the Sixers job.

I was hearing how Vogel was saying "Who ever gets the ball pushes it up!" Westbrook literally said "No! I'm the PG give me the ball"
    I was kind of shocked

I was with you all the way till that last paragraph. He's a good coach but why do you think he'd be good for young guys? Did you not see his stint in Orlando? They basically decided to pull a hard reset on that whole Era.

Also, Pelinka is just straight up the worst GM in the league. They only gave him the job to suck up to Kobe. What a disgrace.

I don't see why he would take a chance with the Lakers. I get that they have AD and Lebron, but after that, they are **** (unless they get a good haul for Westbrook).

Vogel was given crap to work with in Orlando. They traded both Oladipo and the rights to Sabonis for freaking Ibaka the first year Vogel was there. Next season they bring in Afflalo and Jonathan Simmons to be part of the team's offensive core.

I've said it before, any coach that can massage an All-Star season out of Roy Hibbert deserves to be a head coach.

He has made contradictory statements in the past about being a lifer as a coach but also wanting to be close to him family…. So I don’t know but there is too much smoke for there not to be some truth to it.

Vogel is someone that most of his players have liked playing for and they think he cares and works really hard. He gets his guys to play hard for him but he tends to lose some of his effectiveness after awhile as players want to take their foot off the pedal…. He also isn’t someone that seems to know how to handle his locker room long term…. But in his defense he can’t control what Paul George did off the court and he had no choice but to play Westbrook because of ownership.

I think he could be a really good coach on a young team or a team where the star players don’t have big ego’s.

I think everything changed for the Pacers when George broke his leg. Like that was the beginning of the end for the Paul George era because they lost a lot of momentum as a franchise when he went down. Definitely something Vogel couldn’t control.

I wouldn’t mind him being Silas’ successor. At least we know Vogel’s teams will play defense
