No team led by Westbrook can score 160 a game. I don't think he's regressed at all. I just don't think he was ever good. If you give any player in the league that kinda usage they can probably put up similar stats.

The only thing I've seen Lebron regress on is defense. He doesn't put in the effort all the time yet. With Wiggins and Green he has two solid players to defend and he can coast for once. It would help him tremendously.

If you're contending that teams can score 150 against a Westbrook/Curry backcourt, then it's a fair contention that a Westbrook/Curry/AD team could score 160.

Also, Westbrook has had 30 pt triple doubles. Not any player could do that.

Can you elaborate how the offense would work? Draymond Green would literally be useless, and Wiggins would be needed to run the 2nd unit so his minutes with Lebron would be staggered.

Lebron has regressed on defense. He's also slower, less explosive, has less leaping ability, and he's become a league-average 3pt shooter.

In an attempt to prop Curry over Lebron we have a pro Westbrook post in this thread.

This folks is how you know when to use the ignore function.

Do you not understand that it's a team game? Chemistry matters.

Go ahead and ignore me. We both know that if you engage, you'll end up looking stupid.

Do you disagree with my assertion? That Westbrook would be a more effective player if he had the ball more without a leash?

No. Westbrook no longer belongs in the NBA. He is THE biggest anchor in the league. If a team has to have Westbrook on it then the only way to make it a “positive” is to “Wall” him. The magical powers that you believe Curry has aren’t changing Russell freaking Westbrook.

    Also

Leaders this season : Curry the magic man vs Shell of himself Lebron

    WS/48 : Shell of himself
Box +/- : Shell of himself
    VORP : Shell of himself
    TPA : Shell of himself
    PER : Shell of himself

And Lebron's record is 21-20 while Curry's record is 40-14.

Westbrook has 9 triple doubles this year, and you think he no longer belongs in the NBA. There you go looking stupid again.

AD has played like 5 games this year. Why even count him. We are looking at a roster of Dwight, Deandre, Curry, Westbrook, Melo, Ariza, Bradley, Monk, THT, Bazemore.

lol at Westbrook triple double. If your teammates box out and let you get rebounds I'm sure other players could do it too.

It's proven than Westbrook can't play wih a center with 0 range. The Lakers would have to play the smallest of small ball for this to work. It would not be pretty. 5 guys 6'4 and under.

how would Lebron offense not work. He can just run a pick and roll with Draymond and flanked with 3 shooters. It would be just fine. Draymond is a great secondary play maker.

Anthony Davis has played 37 games this year. Lebron has played 41. If we aren't counting AD, then we shouldn't count Lebron.

If it were so easy, wouldn't a lot more players be doing it? At the very least, it shows that Westbrook isn't as washed up as you think.

You mean like he did with Steven Adams back in OKC?

And defenders would go under the screen and dare Lebron to shoot. He's shooting 35% from the 3pt line this year. Defenders would let him take 3's all day long.

Flanked with 3 shooters? So you wouldn't have a center? It'd be Poole, Wiggins, Porter/Klay, Lebron, and Draymond Green? They'd get killed in the rebounding department.

Imagine that feeling Lebron playing with Westbrook again after playing with Curry.
