If you can get Dyson then you get him. Talent is talent. You can get away with duplicative strengths. But just like Banchero-Sengun, there will duplicative weakness overlap with Banchero-Dyson. Eventually either one or both improve their weaknesses to League average plus or one or the other is gone. Stone said it himself.
I'd still take Dyson, or Murray if he falls. Just saying Dyson not best fit with Banchero or Sengun. Or even Tate. Sooner rather than later, some of those players will have to be traded.
I'd trade that pile of junk we got from the Mavs to the Lakers for THTucker. We don't have the roster space...
How many players do the Rockets have currently? Feels like 25 after the Woods deal and the draft. If we can't trade Wall, I'd be happy to pay half his wage to play elsewhere just to free up a roster spot. If we also get rid of EG, then I hope we can bring Gerald Green aka The Mayor back in on vet Min for his veteran presence, not to mention he trained many of the youngsters last season and is a great locker room presence.
Jalen Brunson to the Knicks looks like it has legs. It was reported the knicks are trying to get rid of Cam Reddish and Taj Gibson for cap space. I wonder if Rockets can help
Hard to argue but that Detroit won the draft based off of potential. But I dont think the Rockets are far behind. The draft went as well as anyone could have hoped. Not only are Smith, Eason and Washington exceptionally talented but each already as an identifiable role they might fill and fits perfectly with the roster. Kudos to Stone for being lucky and good on draft night.
