Yeah that kind of sticks out to me as potentially problematic as well. When you start bringing your children into the staff, it rarely is because they are best suited for the job.
I agree, as bad as the linebackers were last season I was hoping for a vet coach, a Wade Phillips type. None of these names on the defensive staff is really blowing me away
The rb coach was irrelevant because the line was horrendous. Would've liked to see a new set of eyes at that position though
I don’t know I think a different RB coach may have been able to take about 3 years of wear off of those tires.
Bottom line is this happens. Pats are one example and so are the Chiefs... https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2021/02/06/britt-reid-wont-be-going-to-tampa-with-the-chiefs/
i think it just means anybody could do the job and there is plenty of those types of jobs in all fields.
Guess you have no issue with Vikings promotion of Kubiak’s son? Kids/siblings follow in footsteps. Does it mean they are not good coaches. It is all over sports. Stephen Silas, son of Paul Silas....Former NBA coach. Rob and Rex Ryan, Harbaugh Brothers. Come on, now.
McDaniels seems like he’s come up on his own, not that I think being Josh’s brother would have much pull anyways. Miles has only worked under his dad so we will see.
