Having Javier available out of the pen would also be great. Would have a super longman we thought Devenski could be.

Man Framber coming back this season would be huge.

Odds of going wire to wire with 5 pitchers is unlikely. Javier likely will be a starter for most of his season. Astros may even send him down to keep stretched out.

If Astros want him as a reliever, he'll be great.

So halfway through Spring Training, Diaz, Straw and Castro lead the team in OPS (among guys expected to make team).

It is almost as if Spring Training stats aren't very indicative of much.

Only thing I really care about ST is that guys make it through healthy, and I generally prefer pitchers to look good in their last start.

I have liked what I have seen/read from Siri. I think he’s a much higher upside player than McCormick and a better fit for the open role (backup CF/4th OF) than either McCormick or Souza. I also like Garcia over Toro.

Im also good with Bielak as the placeholder for Odorizzi and the likely Javier/Garcia tandem 5th starter or long man until Javier is fully stretched out (which may not be an issue for more than a couple weeks).

With Valdez likely back in a month or so, I really like this pitching staff, assuming everybody stays healthy. And although I wish they’d had the resources to do more in CF I am fine with their position players roster, as their lineup is one of the deepest/best in the league.

Dusty talking about players' behinds like a teenage girl in the OF stands.

Where are you getting that optimistic of a timeline from?

This dude needs to be fired. I fully expect fans in away stadiums to boo and pull stunts like that this season, but if you're security then do your job.

My butthole. I am just assuming that if he doesn’t have surgery the timeline to return would be <2 months. I don’t recall ever seeing a finger injury that didn’t require surgery keep a player out more than 10 weeks. I could be totally wrong.

Not quite pitching ninja skill of an overlay plus a horrible camera angle, but still interesting.
