MARCH 17: BROWN SIGNED The Texans signed tight end Pharoah Brown to a 1-year $2.2 mil deal, per NFL Network.
At this point. I would take # 2 overall, and one other first rounder for Watson. Get Wilson, and a pick. Just need to get away from Watson now. It’s getting ridiculous.
I’ve said this before I was really on the Wilson train early on but recently he’s giving me manziel vibes and it scares me. Small statue Already been banged up in college Durability issues? Can he last a full 16 game schedule in the big leagues.
Mac Jones gives me real joe burrow vibes Late bloomer Real student of the game Huge competitor Very accurate I’ll like to let him sit for a year though. And seeing how I think Caserio wants to build this teams a real game manager who can still make the plays needed to win the game is something that suits Mac Jones.
My contingency plan for the draft early on in this thread was a big fail. Tried to cover every multiple scenario but I never took Watson itching for handsies to plummet his trade stock to zero. And I was all excited about landing the second pick. So I ask you guys, how do they even crack the first round for a chance of one of the qbs slipping? Tunsil is the only asset.
No to trading Tunsil. Too much dead cap space and he is a good LT which are hard to find. Watson will be our QB either this year or next. If he plays this year, we will be 6-10 or better, but have our draft picks next year. If I was Miami I would still trade for him with two firsts this year and one next year and Tua and we should take it. He will be back and great. Civil lawsuits will not lead to NFL suspensions.
Turning Tunsils salary to bonus money freed up cap space, but it turns all that money into extra dead cap both thus year and in the future. Nothing "free" is ever really free. You don't do that move if you want to trade him in the next couple of years. If you trade him after doing that restructure, your adding ANOTHER $10 million of dead cap space that wouldn't have been there before the restructure.
