Not sure why we're so obsessed with times, when the eye test alone in actual NFL games shows that Deshaun is a well above average athlete at the QB position. What I'm willing to concede is that we probably haven't seen Davis Mills true athleticism on the field yet, due to multiple knee injuries and knee braces.
Times give a gauge of ability. It’s quantifiable and takes out biases. Eye tests often have biases in the eye of the beholder. Deshaun is a prototype new age QB. Same as Rodgers, Allen, Mahomes, Tannehill, Carr, Dak, Herbert He’s not the same athlete as Kyler, Wilson or Lamar. He has good pocket wiggle and elusive. His top end speed is solid but the same as those listed with him. Elusive, throwing on the run, off script plays, escapability are the traits of new age QBs, along with the traditional reading defenses, processing and throwing from the pocket. Mills measurables says he has the same capability, that doesn’t mean he will reach his potential.
