Illinois is good...but the Big is a massively overrated conference. Glad they're getting exposed for the top rated frauds they are.
I don't know about massively overrated, Purdue had no business being a 4 seed and Ohio State (and their best player) played their worst game of the year against an atypical 15 seed. Mediocre UW dismantled mediocre UNC, mediocre Rutgers is playing mediocre Clemson close, we'll see about tomorrow.
In a battle of salad, Eastern Washington is dominating Kansas. It's not even close. I swear at least 50% of the E Wash is from Minneflowta.
Lots of fun games so far today. EW-Kansas UCSB (their coach has an apparently, with mask on, thiccc hot blonde milf of a wife they keep showing on tv) should have beat Creighton Iona-Bama Drake-USC Also, @YOLO, Creighton totally ignored your clutch free throw maxim...they're the 320something ranked FT% team, and a dude that shoots under 60% swished both ends after a dumbass loose ball foul to give them the lead (and win) with 15 seconds left.
I am rooting for all the underdogs and Texas teams, but Houston is the team I want to win. I always root for Houston teams. I went to school at U of H back in the days of Phi Slama Jama before I joined the Navy. I won't lie though, I didn't go to any sporting events back then. Shame now that I look back on it because Carl Lewis, Steve Ellington, Hakeem, and a bunch of greats were there then.
Yep, I'm a bit younger (born 1974) but my dad took me to many games as a kid. Ridiculously fun times, and then to watch (H)Akeem his whole career and Drexler come home was just amazing on a level I can't put into words. I will always love Houston hoops. Only reason I mentioned Abilene losing is because they play UT tonight. Loved when they showed a clip of Jim Nance pregame in '82 or so as Dream and Clyde are warming up...announcer says something like "those 3 guys might just make it".
Luka Garza's ceiling in the NBA is a backup, matchup, end of rotation guy, but damn his footwork and skills are fun to watch. Born 30 years too late. That sucks, it was inevitable for somebody, but still sucks.
