You really have a hate boner against him... His defense was extremely good for a rookie, everyone knew coming in his offense would be suspect, that's nothing new.
Nah everyone was saying he was the most polished big man prospect in the last 10 yrs right? His defense is ok as a rookie, I wouldnt say its anything amazing its similar to what Poku brought as a rookie, but maybe I'm wrong I'll wait till stats for Mobley show up in bball reference. I just find funny the Mobley Mob talked so much smack to me about how amazing Mobley is now he is some long term project and everyone knew that. People were really comparing Green to Jeremy Lin and AD/KD to Mobley.
I don't know who was saying that and actually his defense is already pretty good, pretty good for a rookie and just overall, dude is out there blocking jumpshots on guards, well it's leaps and bounds better than Green's. As bad as Mobley is on offense Green so far has been worse on defense, he might as well not be out there at times. He's really going to need to improve there by...a lot... I don't know, I can't speak for everyone, but I know I personally said Green will probably have the better rookie year while Mobley will be the better player long term and it seemed most of the NBA GMs agree with that take. Now that Green is a rocket I hope they are wrong but watching him I definitely see how that could happen.
We should wait and see the official stats before we talk about defense cuz those things are subject to bias. I highly doubt Mobley will be better than Green, maybe if he can out on weight first without getting injured then we can say if he has a chance to be better than Green.
