I'm all for packaging Eric Gordon, Danuel House and the 24th pick for a 2nd rounder + filler. Would go for Bones Hyland, love the kid.
May sneak into first. His combine numbers and scrimmages were exemplary. Made himself some more money.
I was watching Barnes vs Michigan without Livers and I felt he stunk. He did nothing in that game. I think he ended up with 9 points and didn't do much on defense.....took some ill advised jumpers. Plus I've seen Barnes celebrating a score with a touchdown celebration on several occasions....meanwhile the other team inbounds and have a 4 on 2. So I question his basketball I.Q.-- hotdog with relish mentality. I see him as John Henson who was also an elite defender in college. Not much else in the pros. I will pass. A member of CF's said he watched all the games and said Scottie Barnes is nothing to write home to mom about. And he is a Florida State fan.....I wish I could remember his name. I know what he means.
Cade is not elite defender or playmaker. Mobley is not elite scorer. Green is not good defender or even an average playmaker. Suggs is not elite playmaker or scorer. Kuminga is elite at nothing. Even best players of this draft have their warts. Barnes' is scoring. But Barnes is the best playmaker in the lottery AND he is not even a PG. Barnes will step on NBA court first day and become elite secondary playmaker AND elite 1-5 defender. At the 4 spot. Agree to disagree.
He is looking good at the combine. I like him too. A high second round pick for now. Eric is injured and nobody wants House right now.
Scotty has that Dwight Howard personality. Seems to just play around too much and thinks he can get by with just his size.
Yes. I could sense the Harlem Globetrotter antics as they play the Washington Generals. Perhaps they had a 20 point lead each time they went into touchdown "Dance Mode." If I'm their coach I would tell them save it for the night club.....or dance pre game, during timeouts, or at halftime. Not during live action.
The team needs to find the direction they want to go and build some identity. Is Christian Wood going to be our starting center or is he our starting 4. Our best team in clutch time we don’t know where he should be playing? If we go small he is right now our starting center by default. If we are going to play small then the Mobley pick is a waste.
I agree with you. I think we are outnumbered though. Seems like the consensus here is just get BPA and draft with no rhyme nor reason. Sort it out later. Accumulation of talent business. Players with "Potential" As Jerry Glanville once said, "Potential gets coaches fired." For those of us that think we were just tanking last season.....that's a cluster **** approach. We are closer than most think.
Love Herb Jones. Like Scottie Lewis and Kessler Edwards, stud on defense. All 3 would be amazing values in second round.
I disagree, Mobley actually offers Rockets the most lineup flexibility. Mobley can play forward in big lineup and center in small lineup.
