    That Sengen Garuba is a hell of a player. Im prettu sure that first mentiin should read "Alpern Sengun" and the second mention is the only one intended to reference Garuba.

    The name helps him fit in at his side gig dancing the late shift at The Men's Club.

    That would be a pretty good NBA genetic experiment from all the pre-draft hype, though. Offense and defense... would probably still need to work on that jumper more, but ... a really nice start and a top-5 pick for sure.

    Pretty sure Sengun Garuba would be ranked higher than Mobley esp if the motor and energy of Sengun and Garuba got combined as well.

    Anyone know the status of Garuba’s buyout within the Euro league he plays in? As excited as I am about our draft - it would be a real let down if he ended up getting stuck over there because of contract negotiations.

    While the buyout terms aren’t friendly, all indications are a deal will get done relatively soon. The Rockets clearly want and expect that to be the case, likely based on information from Garuba’s representatives during the pre-draft process, and Garuba’s buyout figure would only increase if he waited until 2022. As such, the odds favor a deal in 2021.

    If there were any remaining doubts, the franchise may have cleared them up with Tuesday’s tweet asking fans to welcome Garuba to Houston.
