I saw an article about how Cesar Prieto signed with Baltimore because they offered the fastest, clearest path to the majors. As a late addition to the eligible signees, teams had most of their pools already committed, so he could not secure a major bonus, so time to the majors became his priority. Good signing by Baltimore. I think Prieto is going to be good.

    Players to watch

Luis Baez, OF, Cuba - top bonus, some of the best raw power in the class, can translate that into games
Alberto Hernandez, SS, Cuba - switch-hitter who might end up hitting righty only, could outgrow SS
Kenni Gomez, OF, Cuba - + runner, but might need to watch his frame or he'll have to move to LF; sneaky power
Samuel Capellan, SS, Dominican Republic - one of the top athletes in the class, but needs to add strength (what amateur player doesn't need to do this)
Carlos Espinosa, RHP, Cuba - fastball up to 95, five-pitch mix led by a slider
Rafael Ramirez, SS, Dominican Republic - shows present power with the potential for more, plus arm that can handle 3B
Axell De Paula, OF, Dominican Republic - solid-average speed & arm strength, shows ability to drive the ball well

    Sleeper

Raimi Rodriguez, RHP, Dominican Republic - young for the class, strike-thrower, fastball up to 91, shows feel for a curveball
