This guy is a real piece of ****.

    https://www.businessinsider.com/north-carolina-madison-cawthorn-website-race-cory-booker-2020-10

"The syntax of our language was unclear and unfairly implied I was criticizing Cory Booker," Cawthorn said in a statement to The New York Times. The website was first reported on by The Bulwark.

"Revelations about Madison Cawthorn's blatantly racist comment come days after over 150 former classmates at Patrick Henry College — more than half the entire student body during his time there — signed a letter and posted it online calling Mr. Cawthorn a 'sexual predator' who lied and vandalized property while attending the college for a little over a semester in 2016-17," Cawthorn's opponent, Moe Davis, said in a statement.

You can't change these people's minds. You have the sheep who follow and the leaders who manipulate. You have to excise the cancer through the rules that exist and were created for these situations.

I think it's an over-reaction (in normal times), don't get me wrong, because (normally) you'd take an image like that as simply being pro-gun, BUT. It's a trashy, low-class look, terrible timing, and these are adults in the public eye posting stuff like this? Wild. How stupid are people?

The GOP is scared of their own base. Trump wouldn't be impeached in a million years. They don't want their own thugs threatening them and outside their homes. You can't heal and unify with thugs around. They only understand violence.

This playbook is so tired that even Bill Belichick is jumping ship.

“Challenge a person's beliefs, and you challenge his dignity, standing, and power. And when those beliefs are based on nothing but faith, they are chronically fragile. No one gets upset about the belief that rocks fall down as opposed to up, because all sane people can see it with their own eyes. Not so for the belief that babies are born with original sin or that God exists in three persons or that Ali is the second-most divinely inspired man after Muhammad. When people organize their lives around these beliefs, and then learn of other people who seem to be doing just fine without them--or worse, who credibly rebut them--they are in danger of looking like fools. Since one cannot defend a belief based on faith by persuading skeptics it is true, the faithful are apt to react to unbelief with rage, and may try to eliminate that affront to everything that makes their lives meaningful.”

And to hell with healing and unity if the shoe was on the other foot there would be hellfire and brimstone.

Hold them accountable and punish them to the fullest extent of the law. Then take no prisoners push the agenda that the American public voted you in to do. Stop worrying about optics or reaching across the aisle. These are the same people that had to be dragged kicking and screaming to accept child labor laws, a 40 hour workweek, women’s right to vote, civil rights, social security and Medicare basically everything that makes our country civilized. They will never change so just ignore them.
