    LSU TIGERS FOOTBALL!!!!

Said last year it was a matter of time before Ed O gets canned, and wouldn't be surprised if it happened after 2021. Got clowned a bit. 2019 was about Joe Burrow and Joe Brady. Ed O made some good decisions as a HC, and he hired good people at times and let them do their job, but then he also hired Bo Pelini, and he's also not that interested in putting in the work to have a consistent, top-notch, football program.

That being said, thanks for the memories... Hopefully we can bring lure Joe Brady back from the NFL. Coaching top recruits is more fan than Fat Face Darnold and Cam Juice Newton.

    Hmm...

Would you be saying the same thing if UH went undefeated and beat Notre Dame in South Bend?

(Assuming Cincinnati beats wins out and beats UH in the title game, which is a big assumption)

ND is one of those teams we all know isn't that good. UH is a high school team.

I guess. I realize that Cincinnati almost certainly isn't going to beat Georgia or Alabama, but then what is the point of even playing a season?

Why don't we just line-up a 10 team playoff with the top 10 recruiting classes every year.

Once you accept this nihilists viewpoint it will set you free. The only solution is for these teams to schedule great non-conference opponents, which is often impossible.

There's really no good answer. It's the nature of the sport.

That's why I think a sort of... relegation aspect... could spice things up for the "lesser" teams and give them SOME hope. No, existing teams in big conferences cant be relegated, but maybe 2 "open" slots that change?

I still think this is a bit of a lazy take.

What was Clemson 10 years ago? What was Miami 30 years ago?

The top programs can in fact change over time, so to install a system that prevents that from happening wouldn't really make much sense to me.

OK, so maybe Ohio State is pretty, pretty good.

Just as I don't understand how Texas A&M beat Alabama, I don't understand how Oregon beat Ohio State. I watched the whole first half and the entire 3rd quarter of the Oregon-Utah game and Oregon did not look like the #3 team in the country - hell, they didn't even look like a top 15 team. Ohio State will beat Michigan (because Harbaugh always loses the big game) and they will get in as the #3 seed. Assuming that Alabama still makes it even if they have 2 losses (Georgia should be in whether they win the SEC Championship or not) - I would love to see Alabama play Ohio State in one of the playoff games. There will probably be no defense played whatsoever in that game and the final will probably be 63-56. You thought that the Georgia-Oklahoma game (with Baker Mayfield) was entertaining several years ago? I have a feeling that Bama-OSU would be an epic offensive shootout.

    Michigan does for now...

Oklahoma / Oklahoma State have to be excited right now, because Michigan over Wisconsin is no guarantee. Notre Dame too.
