Alex Santos completed a 2-0 win with four hitless innings; he walked one and struck out four. Yohander Martinez is now on a nice little five-game hitting streak in which he's gotten two hits in four of those five games. They've all been singles, but a hitting streak is a hitting streak.

Someone in the trade target thread mentioned the possibility of him tweaking something after stealing a base in the 7th so looks like it's true.
That "someone" was me. I saw someone on Twitter hypothesize that without any evidence. Would make sense if true given the sequence of events but until we hear official word every guess is just a guess,

Excellent. Also, Bregman's cleanly fielded a couple of GB at 3rd and popped out foul on another 2-2 pitch his 2nd AB, so he seems to be ready to go.

On the season he has a 4.20 ERA but he has just a 2.19 ERA over his last 6 outings. Overall he has 76 K in just 49.1 innings as he shows off his high 90s fastball and above average curveball and slider. Brown has established himself as the top pitching prospect in the system. 2021 Stats: 13 G, 4.20 ERA/3.86 FIP, 49.1 IP, 45 H, 23 ER, 29 BB, 76 K, 13.9 K/9 ⇓ Stock Down⇓ Hitter - C.J. Stubbs Stubbs was 10th round pick in 2019 and hit well following the draft. Unfortunately he has struggled this season. On the season he has just a .626 OPS with 74 K in 52 games. He is only 24 years old, and spent some time in AA too, but he has yet to find his groove in 2021. 2021 Stats: 52 G, .198 BA/.292 OBP/.321 SLG, 7 2B, 2 3B, 4 HR, 15 RBI, 71 wRC+ Pitcher - Francis Martes At one point, Martes was one of the best pitching prospects in baseball. After multiple suspensions he is back in AAA this year at 25 years old and things aren’t going well. He owns a 13.11 ERA with 20 BB in 11.2 innings.
