Barefoot, McKenna, and Barefoot are still striking out way too much, but they are unquestionably showing serious power. Each of those guys might hit 25 HR this season at this pace.
These are some absolute ceiling comps for some position player prospects: Korey Lee: Salvador Perez with worse defense Grae Kessinger: Don Kessinger Jeremy Pena: Brandon Crawford (pretty realistic) Freudis Nova: Edgar Renteria Joe Perez: Matt Chapman with a worse glove Pedro Leon: Mookie Betts (Leury Garcia would be a median outcome) Colin Barber: Tommy Pham Ronnie Dawson: Shin-Soo Choo with a weaker arm Leon, Pena, and maybe Lee are the only guys that project to be likely everyday major leaguers. Kessinger has a pretty high floor and will likely have a long career. But the rest of their prospects carry quite a bit of risk.
Probably the most interesting pitching prospect in the system. I would assume he’s promoted in the next couple of weeks. I wonder if he has a chance of reaching AA this season should he continue to dominate?
